MAYA’S POV The only thing I could think of doing was take to my heels. I was headed towards the woods, even though I wasn’t certain it was the right place to be headed. My breathing pace had doubled, I couldn’t help it. At intervals, I looked at my back, but I still couldn’t see anyone. Yet, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was being followed off. I wasn’t overthinking things, I was very certain about it. Being under the moonlight made my senses heightened. A particular scent did fill up my nostrils, but I didn’t know who it belonged to. I could perceive a werewolf’s scent but I couldn’t see anyone. “Ouu,” I cried out. I tripped and fell to the ground. I sustained an injury on my leg, and was bleeding. This wasn’t the best time for an unfortunate incident as this, how was I suppose
