MAYA’S POV
“You absorb pain differently,” Beta Kierra said to me.
“What else have you noticed about me?”
“You adapt faster than other Omegas,” she responded.
My hands remained on my knees, I was short of breath and sweating hard, I was trying to catch my breath. I was lucky that Beta Kierra was also on the training ground this noon, she had been training some maidens.
She watched me with one eye while I was training, and it kind of pushed me to do more. I wanted her to see that I had gotten better, and just maybe she might have some pretty good tips for me.
“Did you mean those words?” I looked up at her and asked. It took me minutes to process those words of hers.
“I have no reason to lie to you.”
