“We’re not involving the rogues anymore, and that’s final.”
“That’s not possible,” Kendra protested.
“What would you have me do? Make those smelly creatures Elders of the pack?”
“We’ll have to find a way to negotiate with them. If only you had allowed me to handle it my way while he was here, we wouldn’t be doing this now,” she responded.
Kendra was right, I ought to have allowed her to do it her way since it was her idea in the first place. The greatest mistake I made today was interfering after Kendra told the rogue that she wasn’t willing to grant his request.
The promise I made to them, I didn’t have plans to fulfill it, and he doesn’t even know. Kendra also has no idea. Why would I ever give outcasts a portion of the pack that I was about to take over?
