Butterflies consumed my stomach during the drive to Troy’s home…my home. I had to pinch myself multiple times, reminding myself that this was real, it was actually happening. The past two days have been some of the hardest of my life, and I’m overjoyed to finally have Troy back by my side. This whole issue of his Sire is still playing on my mind. If she has been hunting him for the past hundred years, I see no reason why she would stop now. I know deep down that she will inject herself into our lives again, my stomach churns just at the thought. Troy and I have a lot more to talk about, but it can wait. Right now, I just want to enjoy the fact that we’re together again. “You ready?” Asks Troy, breaking me out of my thoughts. I smile widely when I realise that we are here, we’re home. I
