we walk through the woods silently no one broke the silence until we reach the town more like a village it was crowded with people the funny thing words that everyone was wearing the same style of outfit it looked like the clothes being worn in the olden days everything looks so ancient the woman had long gowns of different designs which look like Cinderella or beauty and the beast the guys were jumper trousers with local tops there selling buying an exchange of goods and fruits which were being transported through cargoes everywhere was so ancient what is happening?

"Where are we?"

Nikki asked looking as confused as I was I guess she saw how olden this place was

"This is hane town, it's the safest town in Man City we are gonna stay here for a while to train you on your Powers the shadows will come after you soon you need to learn to defend yourselves"

"Who the heck is the shadows and why would they come after us? What powers are you talking about"

Nikki queried holding her hands to her chest in fear as fun as it was seeing her like this makes me happy knowing that it was Actually a fact Jimmy started moving forward towards the crowd ignoring Nikki's questions and motioning for us to follow him I was a bit hesitant at first but after Becky followed suit I summoned up courage to go with them Nikki already went with Jimmy we walk to the crowd and my greatest surprise everyone drifted sideways giving way for the four of us to pass more like as if they were worshipping us or maybe they were just surprised to see the kind of destiny we we are all putting on what part of rural area is this what have we put ourselves into oh my god I miss my best friend Ronald I wish she was here I just hope we get back home fast

"What's going on?"

I asked still walking in the opened line in front of us

"These are your people you are expected to give them a welcome back and an assurance speech"

Jimmy replied not turning back at me I need to let out a little growl until we reached a little building the house itself was awkward and was guarded by four guards two on each side of the building with third and how much it looked as if we went back in time Jimmyna did to them and they open the door we all inside and to my surprise I saw the red haired man sitting on a chair and table the table was really long and it looked like it was built for counselors meeting or something I was so shocked seeing him there 

"You're here too?"

I blurted out staring and pointing at him as everyone turned their direction towards him

"Do you know him?"

Nikki asked mocking his red hair

"Obviously he's my stalker"

I replied looking sarcastically making him put a little frown on his face

"I'm kind of sad hearing you sound like that towards me"

The man said coming towards my direction

"Tonia this is your godfather Sir Walter he had been watching over you since you where little he's the only one that kept the hands of the demons far away from you"Jimmy stated looking a bit sad maybe he also felt the pain of Walter

"Hey !why don't I get to have a guardian? What if those so-called demons ate me up"

Nikki blotted out seeking for attention as always it's got everyone up in laughter

"What funny? Do I look like I'm laughing?"

"Firstly demons do not eat people and secondly will send you a guardian when you are seven and when you saw him you thought he was a thief that was spying on you and you called the police we had to stop him from coming"

Becky replied in between breaths and she couldn't hold back her laughter

"Yeah whatever I need to change job I stink of the demons"

Nikki demanded as Becky directed her to her room

I drew out my sword in alert as I heard the knock on the door

"Hey come down you don't even know who's there"

Lea said in a calm voice she just didn't know how world here in MenCity was

"It could be anyone"

I replied moving forward towards the door as I opened it

"Can you please give this to princess Lea? Tell her I love her"

A little girl said with a basket of apples in her hand I took it in as I watched the girl disappear into the crowd

"Apples wow my best"

Walter said moving towards the basket and picking one up

" I told you not everyone is harmful"

Lea said giving me an awkward look

"It was a little girl she asked me to give the apples to you"

  I replied sounding defeated until I heard Walter coughing as he fell on the ground holding his throat and struggling to breathe everyone was startled as I rushed to him holding him up

"oh my god Walter what happened?"I asked demanding an answer

"The Apple it was poisoned do you need to get here away from here it's not safe"

"Hey what's going on ?"

Tonia asked in fear as Becky wash to bring Nikki out

"The Apple was poisoned I knew it and I told you but you just wouldn't listen"

"Hey this isn't my fault you know I don't have a poison detector to know if a food or fruit is poisoned"

"if only you listen to me I wouldn't have brought it in here"

I replied in anger as I saw the sharp hurt in her eyes as tears rolled down her cheeks and she drifted quickly back to her room

"What do we do now?"

Becky asked still holding water in her hands as tears flowed freely down her cheeks I understand why she was crying ever since our parents we are killed by The shadows Walter has been her close friend although she was told she had always been there for her this place isn't safe anymore we need to take our leave

"We have to leave this place"

I replied standing up and motioning for her to do same

"But this is the safest place in MenCity I mean if you leave now where are we going to go to? ? We will be vulnerable and The shadows can attack us at any time

"Becky it ain't safe anymore we totally let our guard down and see what happens Walter is dead we need to vacate this place think about what would happen if the shadows find her our world will end"

So what are we going to do about Walters body? We can't just leave it here"

Yes we can't we are going to perform the death ritual and told the body in the river "

"Okay I'll go talk to Nikki to pack up I think you should talk to Tonia personally""why can't you just do it I mean you two are girls you understand each other better"

I told her as I didn't have the energy to face Tonia at least not yet I didn't want to get attached to her

"Sorry bro but you made the mess so you have to fix it"

Becky reply laughing out loud

"You know why I don't want to get to her we are bound together in a s****l manner but we can't just be together or do those kind of stuff it can jeopardize everything we've worked hard for"

I replied explaining further and expecting her to reconsider"it can't be that bad can it?"

She questioned rhetorically and walked away laughing I just hope nothing happens between us
