I woke up to the sound of the cavern doors opening, the loud thud of them closing. I fell back to sleep, still out of it, lost in my nightmares. After a few more minutes of dreaming of Emmett running off and leaving me crying on the floor alone, I was kicked. I fell out of the bed and rolled onto the hard floor with a painful thud, standing up and instantly taking a stance. “What the hell!?” I screamed, looking around blindly as the blanket fell off of me. Finally I saw him, standing there with his arms crossed, an amused look on his face. “Dad?” I asked, coughing to clear the thickness in my throat.
