Did she really get a heart break or should I say Thelma made sure to sabotage her relationship with the guy. Thelma threw a surprise birthday party for Efeoluwa. Not expensive but she made sure to invite a few of their campus course mate to the party. The party ended in a bitter way for Thelma as one of the campus friends invited a cousin too. Thelma could help but noticed how flirtatious the young guy is with Efeoluwa. She seems to be enjoying his company better. Before you can say jack, Ifeoluwa and the guy are already exchanging phone contacts. Efeoluwa dated this guy who comes off as Mr nice guy. But Thelma wasn't having it, she tried all she could to break up the relationship with stories insinuating to Efeoluwa that the guy is too good to be trusted. Efeoluwa on the other hand wasn't buying any of the attempts Thelma made to make her see reasons to break up the relationship. To Efeoluwa she's being loved on all the right places and in a way she wants what more can she possibly want.
Thelma saw that all her schemes are not working on Efeoluwa decided to try from the boyfriends end. By pretentiously being overly friendly and nice to him. To see if the guy would let his guards down and just maybe ask her out. After All most male gender are cheaters. Thelma believed that if she presents the opportunity easily for Efeoluwa's boyfriend that he would definitely want to cheat. Unfortunately, with a lot of back and forth this didn't happen. Thelma almost gave up hopes but refused to relent on her mission. She feared the relationship might end up in marriage. There by making her lose the love of her life. Mere thought of this kept her anxious and depressed. She kept on looking worn out and sad any one could visibly see. Efeoluwa asked her severally what could be going on with her. But she dismisses the conversation with stories of her parent financial struggles. But deep down she's been worn out and heart broken by seeing Efeoluwa in the arms of another. She watched as Efeoluwa gave out her first kiss to her boyfriend. Her heart, body and first s*x to her boyfriend. This whole turn out of events in a short period of time really broke Thelma's heart. Because this guy who came from God knows where, just yesterday is already living all of her life expectations. Efeoluwa always calls or physically tells Thelma of how good she's being loved and well taken care of. This unending love story is already beginning to sound like torture for Thelma. As she doesn't have an option rather than listen to everything Efeoluwa has to say. Honestly Thelma doesn't mind sitting or staying on the phone for ages to listen to Efeoluwa. But this particular choice of conversation is nothing but torture for Thelma. Is it the nights Thelma knows Efeoluwa would be spending in the arms of her boyfriend. Or the well detailed stories of how awesome and good the boyfriend is in bed. This whole thing kept on going, while Efeoluwa was already anticipating a proposal. Thelma prayed that such wouldn't happen. Thelma prayed every minute for a miracle to happen so Efeoluwa and the boyfriend would break up. Thelma almost suffered a heart attack the day Efeoluwa called to tell her she would be visiting the boyfriends family. Immediately Efeoluwa told her she would be visiting the boyfriends family during the weekend. Thelma immediately became lit headed, she almost fainted. She asked Efeoluwa if the boyfriend proposed. Efeoluwa who is overexcited said no, the boyfriend has not proposed but with wanting to introduce her to his family she can see an official proposal coming soon. Efeoluwa said to Thelma that probably the boyfriend wants to let the family to meet her and approve of his choice of life partner first before he would propose. Thelma jealously suggests it's a red flag because the guy is supposed to be the one deciding on who to marry and not his family. Thelma is quite right on that part because they are both adults and it's no longer a stone age. Besides, they are the ones who are to spend the rest of their life as husband and wife.
