The Engagement Party

892 Words
Matthew lay in his bed, unable to sleep. Julia's beautiful face fresh in his mind, her hazel eyes staring into his, her pink lips begging to be kissed. Her scent was still on his body. He moaned as he remembered the way her lips had felt against his. It had taken every ounce of his self control to keep his hands on her slender waist. More, he needed more. He stood up in frustration, he knew he had to wait but it was the most difficult thing he'd ever have to do. He opened his window, hoping the fresh air would help clear his head. Without thinking he climbed out and started walking, with no clear destination in mind. The cool winter air soothed his warm body. He tried to focus on what was around him to stop his mind from wandering back to her. The night was completely still, the only noise was the sound of his heavy boots against the stone footpath. After a few minutes he realised that he was back where it all began. He looked up at the old mill, the thick stone walls covered in ivy, framed by the starry sky. That's when it hit him, the intoxicating scent that drove his body wild. He shook his head, sure that he was imagining it, being here again was playing tricks on his mind. It hit him again, harder this time, sending waves of ecstacy through his body. His eyes scanned his surroundings, desperate for it to be more than just his imagination. The muscles in his chest tightened as he saw her coming towards him, her eyes focused straight ahead. Suddenly she stopped and looked up at him. "Julia," he whispered, his voice thick with need, unable to move. She slowly walked forward, lost in the blue of his eyes, unsure if her legs would carry her. After what felt like forever Matthew pulled her into his arms, her breathing was heavy and he could feel her heart racing in her chest. He gently traced her lips with his finger "Perfect," he murmured. They were soft and warm and he wanted them all over his body. Julia exhaled audibly at his touch and he felt himself get hard. "Kiss me," she begged, the desperation obvious in her voice. Matthew crashed his lips onto hers in a long, passionate kiss. Julia tangled her fingers in his thick, blonde hair and pushed her body up against his. Matthew grew wild with passion, he fought hard to control his wolf, "Mine," he said over and over again. A low growl escaped from deep in his throat. Matthew could feel Julia's body shiver as he kissed her. He could smell her need. He kissed her deeper, pushing his tongue into her mouth. His hands slid inside her fur coat and gripped her waist. Julia responded by sucking and biting his bottom lip, she felt herself getting wet and thought she might explode if she didn't have more of him. Matthew began to kiss her neck, he could feel his need to mark her, to claim her as his own. Julia moaned in his ear, her warm breath making his need grow stronger. "Not here, not like this," he said softly. Reluctantly, he gently pulled their bodies apart, they were both breathing heavily. Matthew leaned his forehead against Julia's and immersed himself in her scent. Once their breathing has slowed, Matthew lifted his head and looked deep into Julia's eyes. Julia looked up at Matthew, his bright blue eyes full of love. He brushed a strand of hair off her face and cupped her cheek. "I'm the luckiest man alive," he said with a smile. Julia leaned her face into his hand, unable to speak. She took in a deep breath and pulled Matthew closer, resting her head on his muscular chest. She could stay here forever. Eventually, her mouth remembered how to form words. "Have you told your family yet?" she asked. "No, they were busy with Lauren's dress this evening." Of course, his sister is getting married soon Julia thought. "I want you to be there when I tell them, they might not believe me otherwise. You are Ashton's only daughter after all," he said teasingly. "I'm sure they'll say you're out of my league." Julia laughed, she'd had no idea Matthew was so charming. "Alright, I'll come to your house at 9 o'clock," she assured him. "It's a date," he said with a wink "Speaking of dates, it's my sister's engagement party on Friday night…" he trailed off, suddenly shy and unsure how to ask. Julia giggled. "I'd love to come with you," she finished for him. Matthew sighed and pretended to wipe sweat off his brow. Julia laughed again and Matthew grinned. Her laugh was the most beautiful sound he had ever heard. "I really have to get home," Julia said reluctantly. She knew if she didn't leave now, she never would. Matthew lent down to give her one last kiss before letting her go. Julia slipped away quickly and was home soon after. The house was dark so she tiptoed to her room, undressed quietly and slid under her thick blanket.
