Chapter Twelve Gray “I’m glad you found this car for me to lease. I’m tempted to buy one of my own.” Rémy smoothed his hand over the top of the dash, then switched on the radio. “Could you find NPR?” We were in a cherry-red convertible Mercedes, and it was magnificent. The cream-colored seats were covered in the smoothest leather, and it had to be the ritziest car I’d ever been in. The only bad thing was the rain, since we couldn’t put the top down.
