Chapter Twenty-Six Gray The phone buzzed on my nightstand, waking me from a chemical sleep. I’d taken three Benadryls last night, wanting to be knocked out cold, and mostly it worked, aside from dreams I couldn’t recall. I sat up and stared at the phone, then noticed the time. It was only 8:30 in the morning. The symphony office was still closed, so it probably was Rémy, wanting me to pick up something from the store for him, or… wait. We’d had a fight.
