I felt ecstatic like I was walking on air, I pulled Riley closer and embraced her. When Dax mind linked me.
“Wolf, you better get back here”
“What’s going on”
“It’s Lily”
“What about her” I hoped nothing had happened to her, that girl had been through enough.
“Just get here please”
I saw James coming with his men “James can you please take Riley back home, and be careful with her, please and safe, don’t let her walk, wait, no, I’ll do it”
I picked up Riley and started running back to the pack, I just couldn’t trust anyone with her, especially now, I needed to be extra vigilant “You know, I can walk right”
“Red, I doubt you’ll be walking again, until that baby is born”
She laughed at me and then nuzzled against my neck.
