Someone knocks on Tom's door, and I yelled out "Help me."
I heard Josh voice yells out, "Angela, are you ok? What are you doing in Tom's room?"
Tom tried to cover my mouth, with his hand but I bit it hard. He yelled out in pain.
I yelled out again "Josh, help me!"
I heard the sounds of the door being kicked in. Tom is still over me, trying to put his p***s inside of me.
Suddenly, I am freed of him and I saw Josh has him down on the floor, cuffing and kicking him about his body. He rains profanities at him, beating him to a plup, once he's unconcious, then he stopped.
Josh looks at me with tears in his eyes, " I am so sorry," he tells me. "Are you okay?" he asked not moving.
I sat up in the bed, wrapping the sheets around me.
"It's not your fault," I told him.
"But I am to be blame," he told me, one tear running down his face.
"He has been talking about you, more and more lately. Saying that you are soo beauiful and he wanted to date you," he told to me.
"I told him to knock it off, as you were too young," he confessed.
"Josh, you saved me," I said to him.
I tried to get off the bed, but fell on the floor instead, passing out.
I woke up in the hospital later, with half of my face covered in bandages.
I stayed in the hospital for a few days, then we all flown home. No one ever talked about it, and life continued as normal, but I never saw Tom again.
My mother had me enrolled, into a self defence class, and my father tooked me to a shooting range. I was the proud owner of a glock 47m. This is how my attempted r**e was dealt with.
We all pretended, that it never happend. This helped with the easing the nightmares, as there was nothing to be afraid of if it wasn't quite real. A few months later, Josh went off to college, and I have not see him since.
This was four years ago, and Josh would forever be my hero.
He was supposed to be home for the summer, to intern at his dad's law firm. I had decided to enlist his help, in quest to locate my mother.
I knew that Josh was arriving home today. We had been invited to attend his welcome home dinner party. I don't know how, I was going to enlist his help, but he was my only shot, as his dad was the attorney, that represented my parents in my adoption process.
I decided that maybe, a straight forward approach would be best.
I take one last look, at myself in the mirror. I wore a white off the shoulder dress, clinching in at the waist, then flairing off to meet my knees. I paired it with my white strapy two inch sandals. My face was bare, with only a dab of llipgloss on my lips. Pear earstubs in my ears with a matching pearl necklace. It had been a sixteen birthday gift from Josh. A messenger, had delivered it. Opening the black box, there was a card attached with the words 'Happy sweet sixteen, Josh.'
Our families exchanged gifts each year, and even thought he had off to college, and I was not expecting anything. Josh always seem to remember my birthday.
It was almost time, to walk next door to meet the Hamptons.
I grab my shawl and head downstairs. I found my parents near the bottom waiting on me. We walked next door, arriving within five minutes. We were greeted by Mr. and Mrs. Hampton, I said "Hello, " and wondered off, looking for Josh.
