After comforting Jenny and wiping the remnants of her tears, Davina pulled her into a soft hug.
“I believe you, Jenny. I’m not upset with you, and I’m not upset with him either… for what happened,” she said gently.
“You didn’t deserve the way he reacted, and he owes you an apology. I’m going to make sure he does. And I’m sorry too… I should’ve told him about you beforehand. I created that situation without thinking.”
Jenny shook her head and whispered, “It’s not your fault, Davi. I should’ve—”
“No. You don’t need to say anything. I’m just glad you’re okay,” Davina interrupted with a gentle smile.
From afar through the glass panel, Mike watched them quietly. Something about the moment pulled him into deep thought.
