Davina paused at the kitchen doorway to find an unusually warm sight—Jenny and Mike, sleeves rolled up, laughing like old friends, cooking together. The clatter of utensils, the sizzle of butter, and the aroma of freshly made pancakes, grilled veggies, and spices — that made her stomach growl, but she couldn’t resist throwing a jab their way. She cleared her throat dramatically. “Wow… the new couple in the house seems to be having the time of their lives.
