I went to work only to discover a mini party in my office

"congratulations Ms.Roy"Charlyn the company's secretary, applauded

"Yes,congratulations,all your hard work ever since you started working in this company wouldn't go unnoticed."Gracy said, hugging me.

My eyes started to well up with tears....I was just dumbfounded. My dad has never commended me for the upsurge progress I have brought to the company

"Ma'am don't cry,I am, and we all are super proud of you,"Nessa said and hugged me tightly. I held onto her and cried a bit more before releasing her. I looked at her drenched shirt, resulting in my tears, and pinched the tip her nose.

"you deserve this for being so sneaky" I said

"sneaky? this is just a little surprise planned by all staff members in the company" she said

Everyone in the room burst into laughter aswell. We all had a piece of cake with wine.

Everyone one was busy doing their own thing. Some conversing while others were lost in their own thoughts.I took my phone and saw a notification from "Theo" an hour ago.There were missed calls from mom aswell.Several.

I decided to call mom.

"hello, mom"

"Angel,rush over now, your brother in-laws family would be here within 30 minutes.Come help me set things up" she said

"brother in-law already?"I mocked

"enough and get here soon "she said and ended the call

I showed my gratitude to the staff and excused myself from work.I hailed a cab and got home as soon as possible.It was a 15-minute drive. "Angel your sister is having a bit of problem with fixing her hair, go help her upstairs" mom said.When I got there I was stunned by how beautiful she looked in her dress.it was a deep maroon coloured dress reaching slightly beneath her knee with matching heels. I helped her tie her hair in an updo style and applied slight make up on her face. She smiled at me and said,"sister I am really sorry for everything"

"sorry? for everything?? what???"I asked

mom came in just as she was about to say something and asked us to go down for the visitor's are in.

When we got there, we greeted them and sat next to our dad.But????? the guy sitting next to the man and woman presumably his parents looked familiar!!!!!and yes,it was no other person than Mr.Simone.He looked so hot as usual,with his cold demeanor.

why on earth was he staring intently at me?I couldn't hold on to his stare anymore and looked away. Both parents talked for a while and decided the wedding be held next month.Mr.simone and i caught ourselves stealing glances at each other through out the conversation but I quickly regained my composure.This is my future brother in-law!!!After almost like eternity,everything was done and the SIMONE family left.I decided to spend my night over there since it was late. she happened to be the youngest girl during our era,she was pretty,smart and bold.I just liked her but only got to speak with her once, which was on a bad note,she was always first in her class just like I was in my class. One day we wrote an examination and they ranked all students and I topped up. She became livid.She met me 2 days after and said, "Are you happy now?"

"Huh?"I asked out of confusion

she did not reply and left.That was the only time we spoke or whatever.I had a business meeting with her week's ago and I was so amazed to see her, besides she was not the person I expected to meet with and I saw her today!?? i met her again"
