The next morning , I was the first one to get up even I checked my phone it was 7 a.m. I silently got up from bed , took Austin’s phone and turned off the alarm and then went out without making any sound , I took a bath at the restroom and then came back , when I came back they both were still asleep we didn’t have anything to do today so I better to let then rest for a while also I have to go ask the related authorities of this park if some special arrangements and decoration could be made today , so I got changed and went outside , my foot has not fully recovered yet it was still hurting a little but never mind it was bearable . They had a separate centre for special occasions and celebration , I went in , there was a woman sitting there 

“ hello “ I said

“ hello I am Estelle , please have a seat . Would you like to have anything ? juice , cold drink or anything else ? “

“ no I am fine I don’t want anything  , thank you “ I said , she was very polite and humble 

“ okay , so how can I help you ? “ she asked 

“ well I want to give a surprise to..” I stopped for a moment to think “ to someone special , tonight so I wanted to ask you if it’s possible that you can make some decorations and stuff , I know I am asking this on a short notice but it’s really very important for me “

“ yes you should have informed us beforehand but I will try my best to help you , so will there be any more people or just the two of you ? “

“ just the two of us and our pet Cooper “

“ okay since there aren’t many people involved in this , it won’t be a problem . But can you come again after sometime to discuss about the details on how you want the arrangements to me made ? actually my co-worker is not here right now and she is the one responsible for decoration stuff “

“ okay not a problem , take my number and give me a call whenever she is back “ 

“ sure “ she took out a piece of paper and gave me a pen , I wrote my number on it and got up “ thank you “ I said and left .

By the time I went back to the cabin , Austin and Cooper were already awake Austin still looked gloomy so probably he has woken up just now , “ where have you been Carol ? “ he asked in his sleepy voice “ I went to the restroom for a bath “ I lied without any hesitation “ it’s 9 a.m. ! I have been sleeping for so long , why didn’t I hear my alarm ? “ he looked at his phone with bafflement “ because I turned it off , you looked tired and we didn’t have any arrangements today so there’s no harm in sleeping a little longer “ I said “ oh I see , by the way is your foot fine ? is it still painful ? “ he asked “ yes it’s fine , it’s hurting a little but it’s fine , you know I am so strong “ I said showing my invisible biceps “ yes yes only if you were a little intelligent and not clumsy this wouldn’t have happened “ he said looking at me , I didn’t had anything to say so I started petting Cooper and he licked up my face “ Cooper you love me right ? no matter whether I am not very intelligent or I am clumsy , you still love your mom right ? “ he started moaning and then barked in a high pitch , he started jumping and running all over the room . Austin smiled at me said “ okay I know he loves you , I am going to take a shower , we will go and have breakfast when I am back “ saying this he left and I started playing with Cooper , when I received a call from Estelle she told me that the person responsible for decorations is back and that I should come to discuss the details . I couldn’t leave like that neither I could tell Austin about it so I waited for Austin , when he came back , I told her that I am still feeling a little tired so I won’t be going with them and that they can get my breakfast packed . “ Are you ok Carol ? is your foot still hurting ? “ Austin asked , “ yes I am absolutely fine I am just a little tired “ although I felt a little bad for lying but still when he will see my surprise tonight then I am sure he won’t mind this “ okay then you rest here , we will get going and will bring your breakfast “ saying this he went out and shut the door behind him . I waited in the cabin for 10min to make sure that he don’t see me leaving the cabin and then I went back to that place this time there were 2 more people a man and a woman “ hi Carol , so these are the people I was talking about , you can discuss the details with them “ Estelle said , “ sure thank you “ I said and took a seat beside them . As I was talking to them I didn’t realize that it has already been 1 hr and Austin will be on his way back here I immediately got up “ okay everyone I will have to leave now Austin will be back any moment , if you have anything else to discuss you can give me a call “ I said , “ sure Carol , don’t worry everything will be perfect “ Estelle said “ thank you “ I said and left in a hurry . I ran as fast as I could with my still hurting foot back to the cabin , when I reached there I found out that Austin was not there it was such a relief I went in and sat on the bed , not long after that Austin also arrived “ look we have brought the breakfast Cooper was missing you so we didn’t eat anything and got ours packed too “ Austin said in a jovial manner Cooper was also extra energetic today , he was jumping and running all over the place . Since we came here Austin is looking really happy and by happy I mean genuinely happy not moving around faking a smile , it has been more that a year since Austin and me are living together but I have never seen him so euphoric before , although he smiled and laughed back then also but I also felt as if something is missing as if he has been hiding something from everyone that is hurting him , that is preventing him from living his life to it’s fullest but now things are different there he is standing and smiling from his heart as if a burden has been removed from him , I was so happy for him and also a bit nervous about tonight’s dinner , I was quite confident that Austin also feels the way about me as I do but this was my first time confessing to someone , while thinking about all these I was staring at him unintentionally which he noticed , 

“ why are you smiling and staring at me like that ? “ he asked 

“ I am not staring at you “ I said looking down and started unpacking our breakfast 

“ were you staring at me because you think I am handsome ? “ he starting rolling his fingers through his hairs 

“ anyone will think that you are blind only he/she is blind “ I ruffled up his hair and we both laughed .

We sat on our bed , spread a sheet on it and had our breakfast peacefully ( yes we had our breakfast on our bed , we are not very strict with habits like eating only on dinning table , sleeping early , don’t talk  eating etc. ) . We didn’t had anything scheduled for today so we decided to take a walk , we were walking on a wooden pathway which was laid in an almost forest like area , it was an amazing view being surrounded by trees on all sides , the air was so refreshing , we could hear the chirping  of different birds , the sound of the nearby river , the sound of fishes going in and coming out of water , the mixture noises the small insects were making , the smell of different flowers and unknown leaves , everything was just perfect there Austin and I weren’t talking to each other , probably he was also enjoying this Cooper was also calm he was no longer running recklessly in different directions . As we were walking I saw a wooden bench it was right under a large and shady tree , anyone can tell that the tree was quite old I t hag had a thick and visibly strong trunk , it’s branches were also thick and long they were spread in all directions and were giving shade to a large area , it’s aerial roots were also hanging from the branches and to add to it’s beauty there were pretty different coloured flowers planted on the side of the bench . Although it would have looked scary at night but in the day time it was quite beautiful “ Austin why don’t we go there and sit on that bench for a while  “ I asked pointing towards the bench “ ya sure “ Austin agreed without any hesitation . We relaxed there for sometime and then came back to our cabin . It was quite a boring day we were moving about in our cabin aimlessly so Austin suggested that we can watch a movie which proved out to be a good way while we were watching we didn’t realize that it was almost afternoon until my stomach started making weird sounds ( well it was kind of embarrassing ) so we went to the nearest restaurant , had lunch , came back and lied on bed I don’t know why but I felt tired and felt asleep . When I woke up , Austin was sitting beside me and was reading a novel I got up and said , 

“ how long have I been sleeping ? “

“ well quite long , while you were asleep I watched television , went through my social media , played with Cooper and completed 4 chapters of this novel “ he said making fun of me

“ hahaha very funny “ I said and looked at my phone , it was already 6:30 p.m. I don’t have much time left , the dinner is arranged at 8 p.m. and by that time I have to get ready also . I have to think of a way to make Austin leave this room , I was still struggling thinking about some excuses when Cooper started barking at the door we tried to stop him but he just wouldn’t and yes that’s the perfect opportunity I turned towards Austin and said 

“ I think he is bored , why don’t you take him to the park maybe he will feel better there “

“ yes you are right he must be bored , get up let’s go to the park “ he said looking at me 

“ don’t look at me , I am not going anywhere “

“ and why is that ? “ he asked giving weird expressions knowing that I was about to say something silly 

“ because I am feeling sleepy and I want to sleep more “ I said and laid on my bed again

“ are you kidding me Carol ? you have been sleeping for hours , even Koala’s sleep less than you “ ( for your information Koala’s are considered as the laziest animals who sleep a lot )

“ say whatever you want to say I am not going anywhere “ I said and put a blanket on my face

“ sometimes you are just unbelievable , fine then I am going with Cooper “ he said and went out .

Finally I was alone and Austin wouldn’t be back before 8 so I started dressing up , I had made all the arrangements before coaming here , I had already got a new dress and I had also secretly packed Austin’s formal wear . I wore my beautiful white knee length A-line dress , put on light make up and wore white heels and curled my hair , all of this took me more than an hour . I was completely ready now it was time to leave a message for Austin , I took a sticky note and wrote “ I have something special planned for you , wear this and meet me at the riverside according to this map , I will be waiting for you , Carol “ I put that note on the box of the clothes and also kept a small map which Estelle gave me that can lead him to the destination ( I know it sounds a bit over dramatic but Austin also surprised me in this way on my birthday in the hospital , so I had to do something similar and special for him too ) . Suddenly someone knocked at the door I was startled for a moment could it be Austin ? no he won’t be back this early but still I was worried that if it was Austin all of my efforts will be in vain , I slowly moved toward the door and opened it , it was Estelle 

“ what took you so long to answer the door ? “ she asked coming in hurriedly ans closing the door

“ sorry I thought it was Austin so I was worried “ I answered giving a sigh of relief

Suddenly she notices me “ wow Carol you look absolutely stunning in this dress , it fits you perfectly “ she said looking at me from up to down 

“ is it ? thank you , although I am still feeling very nervous , I don’t know how things will go “

“ don’t worry everything will be absolutely fine . So if you are ready then let’s go to the location , it’s almost time “ she said  looking at her wrist watch

“ sure “

We went out , the sun had gone down and it was dark . Estelle guided me along the way , it was not very far and we were almost there in no time , the way was illuminated on both sides when I finally saw the location I was stunned it was so beautiful and perfect . 

It was located along the sea shore on a beach , the way was filled with rose petals and lights on the either side in the ground , as I walked forward I could see a round table covered with a white cloth and 2 chairs on either side of the table which was surrounded by four wooden poles that were covered by white curtains from all the four sides and it also covered it’s top , there were 3 beautiful candles that were kept on the table . Around the table there were flower pots arranged in a circle and on the other side of the table was a big heart shape made by red lights , the site was mesmerizing 

“ so Carol do you like the arrangements ? is there anything missing that you would like to add ? “ Estelle asked me

“ are you kidding me , this is more than what I was expecting this is just perfect “ I said holding her hands

“ I am glad you liked it “ she said smiling brightly 

“ thank you for this so special “ 

“ it’s my work you don’t have to thank me . Anyway I am going that side and will be hiding behind the bush till the time Austin arrives , I will leave after I am sure that he is here and you are not alone , ok ? “ she said

“ okay “ and she went in the dark , although I could still see her from here .
