Then in reply to this , I wanted to say that “No sophie you’ll have to order this time” but instead of saying this I went a bit off track and said “No carol you’ll …….” . As I said carol , sophie seemed to be in shock . A sudden awkwardness developed between me and sophie . By each passing minute I was feeling very guilty so I started eating quickly and as soon as I finished my meal , I asked for the bill . Then we left for our homes . Earlier I decided that I would take her for a small drive where I’ll let her know that I am not thinking about carol anymore but whatever happened on the lunch table made me drop her home directly . When she got off the car , I asked her “When are we meeting next ?” .
