Valerie’s pov
My eyes fluttered opened, slowly adjusting to the ray of light.
“Hope you’re fine Valerie?” My best friend, Sonia asked, sounding so worried.
I felt her concern, “Yes I’m fine, I think I must have passed out due to stress.”
“I thought as much Valerie, Leo had been dying to see you.” I was informed and immediately the door to my room was pushed open.
“Honey!” He called out , in a shaky voice as he ran to embrace me.
“Sweetheart, you look worried. I’m fine, okay!” I assured him, sniffing in his nice scent.
“Okay babe.” He nodded, taking a quick glance at Sonia then landing it back on me.
My waist ached as I stretched up but it wasn’t a serious pain. “Where are you going?” Leo asked sternly and worriedly.
“I’m going downstairs, to prepare a meal for us.” I responded.
