The week was up. FINALLY!
And so was the house arrest.
And thank God for that, because this had easily been the longest week of my life.
Still… It gave me something valuable.
Kramer’s idea had stayed in my head ever since he mentioned it.
Buy shares in the company.
A quiet takeover from the inside.
It was smart. Dangerous too.
With enough shares, I’d gain access to board meetings, financial records… leverage.
And beyond that?
The company was supposed to be mine in the first place.
Now comes the real problem.
Do I tell Reis about it? If I did, would he agree to it— or try to stop me?
Because without him, getting that kind of money together wouldn’t be easy.
That was what I spent the last few days brainstorming… but finally I remembered.
