Reis’s POV The moment Marcus said those words, I felt my breath still. One of the assassins was among us. That meant someone here tonight had smiled, shaken hands, and drank my champagne, all while standing over the grounds where they murdered my aunt. This was beyond an insult. “Alpha, what do we do now?” Marcus asked quietly. I glanced at Mira beside me before facing him again. “Lock this place down.” I ordered. Marcus stiffened. “Sir—” “Do it now! And after that, order a full search on each and every guest, from the maids to the elders…understood?” Marcus hesitated, clearly still not on board. “I said…understood?” I repeated now, my tone sharp. “Yes sir. Loud and clear..” he nodded quickly then stepped out. “Reis..” her voice pulled me right back out of the moment. “Mira.”
