Isaac’s POV The mansion had never felt this suffocating. Judy was gone. I paced the length of the study for what must have been the hundredth time. The room was silent apart from the echoes of my footsteps. Just hours ago, everything had been under control. And now? Judy has embarrassed me in front of the public and in no time I was going to become a public disgrace. I let out a bitter laugh and dragged my hands through my hair. “I had everything….” I muttered. After getting rid of Mira, I thought the hardest part was over, and we would live happily forever and that all that was left was to play our cards carefully and secure everything we had built. Judy was supposed to be my ally, the one person in my corner. And now…. I clenched my fist and slammed my hands into the wall.
