Celeste's POV
This was a disaster.
Celeste stood over one of the several cots taking up space in the packhouse. There had been another attempt to take over their land by a rival pack in Jersey. The wolfpack wasn't a united front since Wyatt had left.
It didn't help that Edgar wasn't stepping up to the plate. The she-wolf held Winifred's hand as she laid in the cot, injured by the most recent attack. Winifred would be okay, thank God, but it was only a matter of time before they got overwhelmed.
She looked across the makeshift ICU, seeing Edgar, all gaunt and disheveled, talking to a physician. Rage bubbled just under the surface of Celeste's skin. How much longer did they have?
