MANDY had vanished.
Two days after Alex had her locked up, she was mysteriously bailed out. No one knew who had the power or audacity to pull such a move. His subordinates scoured Summerville for any trace of her, but it was as if she had evaporated into thin air.
Meanwhile, in his grand office, Alex leaned back in his chair, his fingers steepled as he listened to Earl’s report.
“Still no sign of her, sir. It’s like she disappeared off the face of the earth.”
Alex’s lips curled into a slow, dangerous smile.
"Then we’ll just have to dig deeper,” he said.
Because if Mandy thought she could run, she was about to learn the hard way--no one escaped from the shadow of Alexander Harris.
