The last time I felt this dejected was when my stepmother called me a dirty useless slut for giving an visiting Alpha an extra plate of food which he demanded, just because she didn't authorize it.
I walked out of the swimming area like nothing happened. No tears, no sad face, no downcast look. But this was the first time in a while I'd given someone the chance to degrade me in such a manner.
