UNO reverse

"Enough.", he voiced, unable to handle my intrusive thoughts. "You sure were listening to me." "Yes I was, and I will. You wolves are very sly. Can't trust one of your kind, nor even you." "Who the hell told you to kidnap me when you can't trust me?" "Not my fault. You were the one who intruded while I was doing my work." "You could have fought with me!" "Why should I waste my energy on an arrogant newbie like you?" "Leave these girls, I will spare your life.", I glared at him as I threatened. Well, as expected, he laughed at my threat. I know he took my threat as a nose booger and surely flicked the particle across somewhere in the room. But eventually, the fake laugh stopped and he looked serious. "I swear, if you can awaken my brother, you will save thousands of other girls." "Why me?" "Humans always fail, thought of trying with a werewolf." "So, why them?", I pointed to those sleeping piglets. (A.K.A. The gals.) "For backup." "So you were planning to kidnap me before I came into the room?" "No, I didn't even know you existed, but after you entered the room, and after discovering that you were weak, it was luck favouring me. A jackpot. "To your concern, I am not weak, I just need training." "Yeah, sure you are not." He let me win the argument, knowing that he threw the UNO reverse card at me. I too remained quiet. I regret my life. Why the hell did I go running towards danger? Can't my senses recognise that it's DANGER! I am not even sleepy anymore. I am... *yawn* Yes!! I am sleepy, but I don't want to sleep. ------- Darcian looks at the girls lying asleep in front of him. His primary attention was on Luciana. The girl just fought with life and death to not fall asleep, but pity falls under the compulsion of desire to sleep. Mind you, Darcian has not casted any spell on her. The she-wolf slept on her own. She would talk boldly, but her power was limited. Therefore, he needed to babysit her move. If his peers came to know that a werewolf was lurking in the den, they would probably... And he was sure that she was going to be a pain in his ass for those whole nine days. But, he was willing to do so. The awakening of Lord Sebastian was more than anything the vampire community needed. As a minister, he was the only hope for the vampires. And he hopes this goes well. Or else the degradation of the vampire community has started. Darcian gave a final look to those girls and leaned his head backwards with exhaustion. He let out a sigh, took out his phone and dialled a number. "Azel, can you bring the Premium Blood available in the Blood Bar?", Darcian said with a tired voice. "I put a network barrier, is there some kind of error?", Azel questioned. "No, but for the time being, I removed it." He could hear Azel taking a deep breath before ranting, "You know, the amount of tutorials I needed to watch to put a barrier. And the actual work was more difficult than shown in the videos. But with just a snap of your finger, you broke my barrier..." The ranting continued and Darcian rolled his eyes with annoyance. Annoyed, Darcian finally spoke, "Fine, I will rebuild the barrier, but for the moment, can you bring me the Premium Blood?" "No.", spoke Azel with a simple, classy word. 'NO' "Why!?", Darcian whined. "Because I am 282 k.m. away from you." As Azel reasoned, Dancian abruptly sat up, "You left me all alone!?" "Yes.", simple, classy, 'yes'. "Didn't I ask you to stay with me?" "Sure you did." "May I know the reason for your departure?" "That girl annoyed me." "So you left?" "Yes." "!..!" Darcian was speechless. "As compensation, I want you to bring me the blood. I am tired as hell." "But I am far away.", replied Azel. "But you can teleport? Yes?", asked Darcian, already knowing the answer. "Fine, I am doing this as compensation!". After saying so, Azel cut the line. Darcian could hear footsteps approaching the door after a few minutes. And suddenly, the door of the room opened. "Hi!", Darcian raised his hand as he greeted his friend. Azel rolled his eyes and handed the bottle to Darcian. "I can't stand the odour.", complained Azel. "I want to leave. So, goodnight." "Accompany me.", said Darcian. "Why should I?", Azel shrieked his nose with disgust. "I am an older vampire, I should be getting more problems than you. But here I am, cheerful and all good." "I am not you." "You should learn to adjust to such situations. The Lord is not as friendly as me", warned Darcian. "Why bring the Lord here? He is not even awake. I bet he will be someday. These girls are going to fail too.", Azel casually said as he took a seat next to Darcian. "Why procrastinate failure rather than success?" "Because that's what we are used to. Better to be ready for another failure than the hope of being successful." "Kid, your mind is full of negativity, change that. And for your kind information, if ever Sebastian awakens, I am going to make you his personal assistant." "Why?" "Because I wanna see you suffer.", chuckled Darcian. "I am going to make him like me. I am loyal to my work and word." "He is my brother kid, I know him better than you do. That guy is a stubborn fellow with arrogance at his peak. Betray him, he will shred you to pieces." Darcian tried to scare Azel but miserably failed when he discovered Azel's eyes were open, half-lidded and he genuinely had no reaction. "I didn't travel 200 miles to hear your lecture. Drink the blood and return the bottle to me", stated Azel. "Don't tell me you are going to reuse this bottle." "Sure I will. Currently, our capital is lower than your self-respect." "Sure it is.", Darcian replied, as he smiled while gritting his teeth. " Once my brother awakens, I bet you will end up loving me." "Love? no way, I don't even have any spare emotion to hate you." "Gosh, f**k off." "Sure, thanks, that's what I really want to do."
