The news of the birth of little baby Nicola cheered up their Sunday. Around lunchtime when Giulia and the twins got back from the church, Lucia was waiting for them at the door and as soon as she saw them, she waved her hands about
-He is born, Nicola is born!-
-Pardon?- Giulia did not understand
-Mum, Clara had her baby!- Agnese said. She stopped in the middle of the driveway. Lucia in the meantime was running towards them. She was delighted and she was out of breath telling the news.
Giulia could not believe it after the unexpected announcement. She had thought of going to Milan to help her daughter, knowing very well that Clara would never come back to them to have the baby. She had spoken to Giovanni about it and he told her that he hoped she would.
