Chapter XVII June 1926 Sitting still at the edge of the bed, Giulia was holding a letter still sealed in her hands and was looking at the window without seeing it. The light coming through the closed shutters was giving the room a lovely semi-darkness is there when you wake up and try to find out whether it will be a sunny day or a dull sky will looking like rain. She went up the stairs to get into Clara’s room trying to keep away that strange feeling that she had because she had not seen her coming downstairs at the usual time.
