Chapter XXIII Milan The meeting went on all morning and Fosco never took the floor. He was looking at the men who were talking animatedly and in a friendly way because they had been meeting many times to tackle the same issues. When Carlo used to take the floor, everybody would be quiet. Fosco felt too that he was the one who had quite clear the whole picture.
