The travelling companions

Gargi smiled at Kate as they spoke about Logan. Kate is Logan's mum, Gargi is standing beside Maya. She took a sip of her wine, turned her head to see where Ace stood. Ace is talking with Greyson and Carl's father. Her gaze then went to the girl who is standing with Greyson and Zeke. Gargi took her time observing the girl. The girl is beautiful, no doubt in that. Gargi didn't talk to the girl yet. She just hopes Ace ignores the girl. She observed that even the girl isn't interested in meeting Ace. "Haha, that's not true. Grey is boring but if you get to know him, he isn't a boring guy," Julie said. Ace can feel the nervousness knowing that the girl he wants to ignore is standing a few feet away from him. The minute he walked him, his eyes searched for her. He wanted to see if she looks exactly like the Julia he knows. He realised that only her face looks like Julia. She isn't Julia, she isn't chubby like his Julia. She doesn't have shoulder length hair like Julia had. She isn't shy or introverted like Julia. She is the total opposite of the Julia he knew and loved even if Julia was a fictional character created by his best friend. "Greyson doesn't talk and how would you say that he isn't boring when he doesn't even involve in the conversation," Zeke said. "So? If he doesn't involve in the conversation, he is a boring person?" Julie asked. "Maybe... Maybe not but to me if they don't make a conversation they are boring," Zeke said confidently. "That is your opinion and based on your opinion you cannot call my brother boring," Julie said playfully. "Stop it, no more word. I'm boring and I agree. No more discussions," Greyson said as he is done hearing their arguments. "You didn't meet brother Ace right?" Zeke asked. "Nope," Julie said. Julie saw the handsome tall man who is their brother Ace. He is a fit and healthy person but Julie is not at all interested in him. And he also came with a date. "Come on, let's go and meet him," Zeke said. Greyson looked at Ace to see him alone. "Yeah, let's go," Greyson said. "Is it necessary?" Julie asked. "Not really but it's your call," Greyson said. Julie looked at where Ace stood. She doesn't want to go and say hi to him when she saw his date looking at her all the time. Julie shifted her gaze and saw that his date is still looking at her. She doesn't know what her problem is or if she has any issues with Julie. "Okay, let's go and say hi," Julie said as something clicked in her mind. Gargi didn't break eye contact with Julie. Gargi felt a bit intimated so she didn't break the contact. Ace looked up to see that Greyson, his sister and Zeke walking towards him. His nervousness skyrocketed but he kept his face blank. "Brother Ace, meet my sister Julianna. Julie, meet brother Ace," Greyson said. "Hi, I'm Julie," Julie said looking up at the tall man. Ace blinked his eyes hearing the name. Even her name is Julie. He gulped down the lump. "Hello," Ace said. Then everyone became silent as they don't know what to say. Julie's gaze went to the woman who now stood beside Ace. "Hello, I'm Gargi," Gargi spoke. "Hi, Julie," Julie greeted. "Gargi is a psychologist. She has her clinic in New York," Zeke said. "That's nice," Julie told. "Thank you," Gargi said while Ace stood there anxiously. Nothing about this Julie matches with the Julia he loved. "What do you do Julie?" Gargi asked. Julie looked at Gargi. She understood that Gargi is taking an unknown interest in her. "I'm a fine art student," Julie replied. Ace remembered Greyson mentioning his sister studying fine art before. "Fine art, wow that's nice. In which year you are in?" "My final year starts next month." Ace gaze went to her t-shirt and the design on her t-shirt. He can easily say that it's hand-painted. Gargi checked Julie's outfit. "Nice graphic design on your t-shirt," Gargi commented. "Thanks but it's not a graphic design," Julie replied. "It's not?" Gargi questioned. "No, it's hand-painted." "You did it?" "Yes." "That's so beautiful if I ask you to make one for me. Will you do?" Gargi asked as she loved the T-shirt. "No," Julie said blankly. Gargi blinked her eyes taken aback by Julie's answer. Ace looked at Julie, he started feeling a bit comfortable when he saw that she is nothing like Julia. There is no shyness, no gentleness while she talks. Julie is confident in what she is talking and she is confident in everything she does. "I'm sorry, Gargi. Julie doesn't like to do for other people," Greyson said. "Haha, it's okay," Gargi said awkwardly. "So, you just imagined and painted it on your t-shirt?" Gargi asked. She truly loved the t-shirt. "It's a duplicate of an original painting," Julie said. "Original painting? Who is the painter?" Gargi asked facing Julie properly. "Augustus Leopold." "Augustus Leopold." Julie and Ace said at a time. Julie shifted her gaze from Gargi to Ace. Zeke and Greyson looked at Ace. "You know about the painting, Ace?" Gargi asked. Ace stuck his tongue to the roof of his mouth as he looked at everyone blankly. He doesn't know why he opened his mouth and told that. He didn't want to say anything but he ended up saying. "Hmm, yes. Maya and Sawyer have a replicant of it in their home," Ace lied not wanting them to know it. Julie raised her brow knowing Ace is lying about how he knows it. Now she is interested in the conversation. "Nice, so you must be knowing what this painting is called," Julie said looking at Ace. Ace shifted his gaze, looked at Julie. This is the first time they are having proper eye contact. Gargi can feel the tension rising in her mind and body looking at Ace and Julie. Gargi can say that Ace is relaxed in the presence of Julie. Julie's presence is not affecting his mind and thoughts. Julie waited for Ace to speak. Ace saw the small smile kind of smirk growing on Julie's face. She is curious and eager. He looked at the curiosity surfacing on Julie's face. Somewhere he felt like Julia is looking at him with so much curiosity. Greyson observed Ace's face. There was an emotion that played on his face before he could pinpoint it was gone. "Hmm." Ace looked away and took a sip of his beverage. "I don't know," Ace said. Julie smiled nodding her head. She knew that he knew what the painting is called. "Hmm, so what the painting is called?" Zeke asked Julie. Ace gazed at Julie. "The travelling companions," Julie said looking into the eyes of Ace. Gargi didn't like it. "Ace, let's eat something," Gargi said. Ace nodded his head pulling his attention away from Julie. Greyson can feel that something is going on. "Sure," Ace said. "We will join you three later," Gargi said looking at the three. "Cool," Julie replied with a smile on her face. "Okay, brother Ace." "Okay." Ace nodded his head looking at the three before going to the other side with Gargi.
