Gargi looked at Ace who is wearing a serious expression on his face. The whole place is tense as they concentrated on the game and screen.
Julie rolled her lower lip into her mouth as she looked at her brother on the screen. They are in an intense mode, it's either a kill or die moment. The third round of the match is going on.
They have to win this round if they want to be the new champions of the esports world. Ace crossed his arms looking at Diego's avatar who is fighting with Greyson and Brooks.
"The f**k! Kaleb and Ruth are attacking me. I cannot fight off them together, Daman help me out!" Kayden said.
"I'm fighting with Antonio and Preston! I'm in a tight position and I don't think I will be fighting them off soon," Daman said.
"Carl! Where are you? help me out before I die. I cannot die in the middle or else we will be losing all the energy," Kayden yelled.
A heavy sigh left Greyson as Diego sent him a strong punch. Diego smirked looking at Greyson's avatar that fell to the ground. Carl looked at the screen as he was helping Greyson.
"Greyson, I don't think we will be able to fight Diego with the energy that is left in us," Carl said seriously. Tension started growing in him.
"Carl, don't be tense. I will go and fight off the Melees for energy. You go and help Kayden. Kayden cannot die in the game," Greyson explained.
"Are you sure? Diego is searching for us. He wants to take advantage of this situation," Carl said.
"Hmm, I'm sure. Just go and help Kayden. I will take care of myself."
Carl ran towards where Kayden is. He is fighting off Ruth and Kaleb. The situation is messy and they don't exactly know how to handle the situation when Diego used his power cards and powers.
The game continued for the next fifteen minutes. Greyson tried his best fighting with Diego but he couldn't match Diego's level.
"s**t!" Carl said as The Jaggers broke down their base and pillars. Greyson left the mouse and looked at the screen.
"Yes! f**k s**t!" Kaleb said as they won the game.
"Wow! That was one messy game!" Preston said.
"It was intense!" Antonio said.
"It was," Kaleb said.
Ruth and Diego stayed quiet. Ruth is busy in her thoughts, this will be her last win with The Jaggers. She won't be able to play with them again. Now the reality started hitting her. Without The Jaggers, she is a nobody.
"Maya... It's fine, don't worry. Don't be tense, they might not win the title this year but they won a lot of people. It's not an easy thing to be playing the finals in their first year itself," Sawyer explained as tears fell from Maya's eyes.
Maya held Saywer's hand. "But they did a lot of hard work."
"Yes they did but the Jaggers also did. You know how talented The Jaggers are and take that in a positive way. They came second! They made a base for themselves now, our boys are champions too!" Sawyer said.
"You okay?" Gargi asked Ace.
Ace didn't say anything as he looked at the boys on stage. They are wearing blank and sad expressions on their face. Greyson stood up from his seat, everything went mute for him. He cannot hear what the others are saying.
"What a game! What a game! I must say I felt like I'm sitting on a fire seat as I kept on jumping up in tension and excitement," the anchor said.
"Yes! Even I felt that!" anchor two said.
"Congratulations team The Jaggers!"
"Congratulations to team The Jaggers for becoming National tournament championship 2018 winners!"
There was a lot of roars and yelling of excitement in the air looking at The Jaggers. Diego turned his head and directly looked at where Ace is sitting.
Ace made eye contact with Diego. Diego slightly smirked looking at Ace. They had eye contact before Kaleb placed his hand on Diego's shoulder.
"What are you looking at? We need to take the trophy," Kaleb spoke. Ruth and Antonio were looking at Diego.
Diego turned his head, looked at Ruth. Ruth slightly widens her eyes as this is the first time Diego is looking at her properly after their fight.
"f**k you and f**k him," Diego said with so much sarcasm.
Antonio and Kaleb looked at each other not understanding what Diego is. "f**k me and f**k who?" Ruth asked.
Everyone can see that Diego and Ruth are seriously talking about something. Before something happen, Samuel got on to the stage.
"What are you talking about?" Kaleb asked Diego.
"Guys, everyone is watching us. Just shut up and start walking towards the front," Antonio said.
Preston stayed quiet looking at his teammates. "Idiots," he muttered under his breath crossing his arms.
"Is your brother okay?" Tessa asked Julie.
Julie is looking at her brother who is standing over the end with his teammates. "Must be hurt but it's fine I guess."
"Move, what are you guys waiting for?" Samuel said.
"Nothing."
The Jaggers started walking towards the end where Team A and B is waiting to congratulate them.
"Good play."
"Congratulations."
"Nice one."
"Congratulations."
"Keep it up."
"Congratulations."
"You were good."
The Jaggers and Team A and B shook hands and congratulated on the game. Diego didn't say anything nor Greyson as they only shook hands.
Diego looked at Greyson in the eye. "Tell your brother Ace to step out," Diego whispered before leaving.
"Did he just say about brother Ace?" Carl asked.
"Yes, he did," Kayden said.
"Does that mean he knows about brother Ace?" Daman asked.
"He must've known about brother Ace," Kayden said.
"I'm happy for my kid. He did and gave his best, it's fine. They will come stronger next year," Gigi said holding Ankit's hand.
"Yes, I'm proud of my boy."
"Your brother was good. He is furious and got the fire that this game needs. I'm sure he will bounce back next year, everyone can see that," Bodhi said.
"Yeah... He is a completely different person when he is on stage and playing the game," Fiona said.
"He is... I just hope he speaks out if he is sad about the game," Julie said.
Julie's gaze went down to where her parents are sitting. She knew Ace is also sitting over there. She can see Gargi standing beside Ace. Gargi is saying something while Ace is looking at the stage.
