The minute I felt that dark aura, I knew it was Evita. I could just sense it. When I saw her emerge behind Carter, I rushed over to him. I should never have left him alone. I was so focused on getting to her, that I didn’t see how she clawed at Carter’s arm.
“She used her venom. Elves excrete a venom similar to Vampires, but it's stronger. We need to get it out of him before it reaches his heart. You have to put him to sleep, it's going to be painful.” Aria says in my mind, and I quickly fill him in. I can see he is already in so much pain.
