Bloody footprints trailed inside the chamber, leading to the chair of Emir---the Undying man. The slowly rotting flesh of his mouth and his gums were no more. And his flesh became plump and full of life. His once dried grayish skin was now in a shade of fawn. Just to get his youth back he had to kill more than a hundred people. And the death of the innocent were obvious as blood pools from his throne.
Not only did he look beautiful, he was able to buy himself time. Now he waits for news coming from Golind. But he realized he did not have to wait long when a swarm of green bugs flew and stopped in front of him. He opened the palm of his hand, and let one of the bugs sit on it.
"Red Klaida. Atlah Toh." After saying his incantations, the bug turned red and flew high until it reached his forehead. The flesh on the middle of his forehead opened up, and blood trailed down to the bridge of his nose. The bug squeezed itself inside the hole and brought the information directly to the head of it's master.
The Undying man closed his eyes and let the memories the bug was carrying sink in.
He heard the voice of Golind, the eerie voice of the creature speaking to him. His eyes opened and it's as if he's seeing the event itself.
'Bring creatures of chaos before the 20th of October, hundreds of them. The keepers will be busy training for the Venom of Scorpio will overflow. The Scorpion Celestial will try to escape its vessel. It seeks a host. The Keeper's will be occupied tying to keep this power at bay. It's the perfect time to invade this fortress.'
A wicked smile painted his face and loud cackles of laughter echoed inside the empty, damp chamber.
"He has done it." Excitement filled him and his body began to tremble. His manic laughter resounded inside the chamber once more. The fangs on his mouth showed as he celebrated. The Undying man stood up and summoned his staff. He raised his left hand and a metallic rod appeared out of nowhere. The rod holds the black and white orb he used to control the creature of tar, coal and fire.
The orb he used to kill eleven of the Celestials.
"My Creation..." He banged the end of the rod against the floor. Blood mixed with tar began to seep on the dungeon floor. "Rise... rise now!" He chanted again and again until the blood and tar mixed together and created a vile goop.
He raised the metal rod, and the orb began to glow. "Have your fill and devour any creature that walks, breathes and roams the Earth. During the middle of October we go to the tower of Scorpio... There you will devour every single descendant of Haris..."
He walked towards the goop and reached down. He used his sharp nail to create a small slit on his arm, and let his blood drip as he says his incantations. Golden dust soon came out from his hands and enveloped the lifeless creature.
"Now... you will live again."
A faint sound of a heart beating resounded. And it got louder and louder until red veins full of blood, lava and tar gave the creature life. Slowly, the body of a beast began to form. A creature so fearful it had part bear, tiger and looked like a Cerberus straight from the gates of the damned.
The creature was humongous as it grew. It destroyed the roof of the chamber and rubbles and big stones from the room fell and crashed on the ground with a loud thud. The creature lets out a beastly scream which can send shivers to man.
It's been reborn, and it starves for blood.
The Undying man summoned the rest of his creatures of tar and fire. Hundreds of creatures which had the scent of decay surrounded the ruined fortress.
"Go on, and feed." Emir said, snapping his fingers he gave the command and the creatures went on. The creatures moved, leaving a trace of tar and decay on the ground. The Earth shook and eerie screams can be heard all throughout the forest. The grass they step on dies from the tar, and the green forest slowly disintegrates and perishes. Trees begin to fall as the giant creature pushes its way onto the nearby villages and land.
Soon, his time will come, the Undying man grin at the thought. And when it does, the Keeper's will be no more.
=========================
In the small town of Lentvaris, Lithuania many townsfolk went on with their everyday lives. Lukas, a train station operator, ate the last piece of omelette his wife, Regina made for him. Looking behind his shoulder, he smiled as he saw his wife tending on their eight month old son named Mathios.
He wiped the stain on his face with a cloth and stood up from his seat. He walked towards his beloved wife and son and kissed them both goodbye. It was a serene moment, he thought as he left for work. Never did he imagine that this will be the last time he will see them.
Flock of birds flew in from the East. A great number of them were never seen before. Bystanders who were casually walking noticed this as well. Some stopped on their tracks, while others kept their eyes on the birds as they continued to walk.
A mild trembling sensation was felt by the citizens. Loud thunder-like footsteps could be heard all around. All fumbled on their footing and were looking at each other as the rumble got closer and closer. Some began to run and some were left standing there, seemingly consumed by their fear and unable to move an inch.
The repulsive smell of rotting flesh and blood spreads onto the small town. Creatures of six and nine feet tall appeared from the Eastern forest. The creature of legends, one that these citizens never thought they'd live to see.
It's the same as their grandparents describe when they were kids and wouldn't want to fall asleep. A creature that smells of dead rats and has the body of decaying flesh. The creature had different eyeballs spread across its body. Fingers, hands, toes and bones can be seen protruding on the creatures as well.
Screams of horror resounded as people from all over started to run. A few pull the others away as the creatures begin to devour those who are left behind. It was pure chaos. Soon, a shriek that made their bones shudder to the ground came out of nowhere.
A gigantic creature of terror made its way, destroying the trees and homes that blocked its path. Human bones, skulls stuck on its chest, showing how many people it consumed.
Lukas was one of the many people who could not escape the colossal creature. He reached out his hand as he saw black and white, as if he was calling to his wife and young one. The lucky few who were able to escape ran back to their homes and warned their family.
For the creatures did not only feast on those who were out on the streets, but for the ones who went back to their homes and hid as well. The smaller creatures destroyed the door, screams and cries of help resounded that night in the small town of Lentvaris.
A mother and her child were left alone in their home. Regina cried as she held her son tight in her arms. She can hear everything from the outside, and prayed to the Celestial beings for help. She closed her eyes and sobbed, feeling devastated and scared.
She ran upstairs while hushing the boy who cried loudly. She shrieked when she heard the windows crash against the floor and the mirror shattered against the floor. With hurried and labor breaths, she finally made it inside the room.
She placed the baby bassinet and tried her best to calm little Mathios. "Hush, little one..." She placed her pointed finger against her lips and tried to coo the little one to calm down. She heard the sound of crashing objects from downstairs and her body flinched.
Knowing there's no time left, she opened the last drawer in her closet and went through her things. "It's in here somewhere... It's in here..." She cried as she threw things on the floor, in a hurry to find the amulet that her mother gave her as a gift on her wedding day.
When she found it she felt a spark of hope. It was a pendant that had Sagittarius' symbol on it. Even though it's futile, she still hoped the Celestial would hear her cries of help. She placed it between her hands and squeezed it tight. Hoping that somehow the Celestial being would help her and her son.
"Please, just save my son!" She screamed aloud until veins showed on her neck. "Please, I beg you!"
