Andrew and the creature clashed as the young man enveloped his fists with a thick layer of blue fire. He ignited the fire from the soles of his feet and used it as lateral thrusters to punch the creature away, marking it with the powerful blue fire as well.
The creature bounced a few times on the ground, marking the soil with its tar. It crashed against the trees and some of the trees fell, the roots showing as the trees laid on the ground.
As the creature stands up, Andrew concentrates his power into a single location. He puts all his concentration into burning the creature and turning it to goo, just like the other. "Burn..." He said as he stared at the creature and the blue embers of fire against its chest.
The creature shrieks as the fire spreads out fast and begins to use its tar body as fuel, creating an even bigger flame. But then, the creature did something unexpected. And it did something that turned their battle around.
As it continuously burns against the blue fire, it throws itself against the barrier. Screaming and banging itself against the shield.
Andrew noticed that the barrier was about to give in as the blue fire sparks against the barrier. He gritted his teeth and flew until he was near enough to punch the creature. "Stop." He commanded the fire, and the blue fire slowly disappeared from the creature.
Andrew needs to figure out a way to destroy this creature while they're far from the fortress.
The young man punched the creature once more, taking the two of them away from the Keeper's and the fortress. The battle between Andrew and the gigantic beast went on and on. He would be able to smash the creature into pieces using the ball of fire, but within seconds the creature would be able to regrow and was ready to attack again.
The blue fire was useful, but since it uses too much of his energy he deemed it useless in his current situation. He'll burn out from fatigue before the creature melts away into goo. Plus he fears the creature may try to use the barrier again to scrape the fire off its tar.
The only thing he noticed is that every time he destroys the creature it gets smaller and smaller.
Andrew noticed that the eyes, bones and other body parts it consumed were gone. It's highly likely that the monster turns its victims into fuel, just like how humans turn food into energy.
Before it was a sixteen foot monster. Now it's only eleven feet tall. If he manages to destroy the creature over and over again, then he'll have the chance to use the blue fire against the beast.
Andrew gritted his teeth and looked at the creature once more. This is the fifth time he was able to smash the beast into bits and pieces. "You disgusting thing." He hissed, then breathed in deeply to recover his lost breath. "Why won't you just die after I blow you up?!"
There it is again, the creature was crawling back into place. Bit by bit it pieces itself back until it becomes whole again. The creature snarled at Andrew, opening its mouth and revealing its insides. It was a bit faster than before, as the weight of all those people it consumed slowed the creature down.
The young man huffed and prepared himself to throw another ball of fire unto the creature. But then the creature practically jumped in front of Andrew, making the young man flinch and lose concentration. The ball of fire he tried to create disappeared.
"s**t!" He cursed loudly as the creature began to chase him. He concentrated his energy into the soles of his feet, and immediately he shot up the sky. He was almost thirty feet away from the ground.
Andrew looked down at the creature and he watched as it made its way back to the fortress.
His heart was racing against his chest and his throat is so dry it hurts whenever he breathes. This is his first battle since he began training. It was foolish of him to think that he can defeat all of those creatures in one go. He became too arrogant and depended too much on the power Leo bestowed upon him.
He didn't think things through and did not plan out on how to defeat the beast. "Damn it!" He screamed loudly as the creature was a few meters away from the barrier. The Keepers who are working hard to maintain the barrier are beginning to lose their life force.
Their faces were hollow and their eyes looked dry and their faces were pale. They look closer to death than he is.
He ran his fingers against his hair and momentarily tugged on it from sheer frustration. "What do I do?!" He asked himself while he fought off fear and confusion from consuming him. Instead of blaming himself he thought of the things he learned about the creature as they spar.
One. The creature needs food for it to last, and if it grows too hungry and loses fuel, it can easily be defeated and will die. Two. The creature when small is faster though its attacks are weaker. Three, though it is weak against fire it is not its ultimate weakness, fire can kill it but it takes too much of his energy. Four, it has the ability to think and fight off its enemy. Five, whatever it consumes it also consumes its ability, like if it consumes a monkey it will have upper body strength but if the other one consumes a cat then it will get its agility. And the last one, six, it feels nothing and fears no one.
Seeing that he has no other option but to hold on and fight until the end, Andrew flies and catches up with the vile creature. The beast tried to make its way back into the barrier, taking one last leap until it was almost flying up in the air.
Before the creature landed on top of the barrier, Andrew flew right in front of it and punched it away while saying "Stop right there!" The young man blazed, following where the creature might land.
The vile creature rolled and rolled against the vast greenery. It managed to feast on bugs and small critters. It swallowed and screeched as it digested the small critters it managed to eat, and Andrew watched in horror as the beast grew hundreds of teeth that looked much like insect legs.
It hurriedly ran straight towards Andrew now a part of its tar body was able to extend, much like a spider's web. The creature looks terrifying.
Andrew was barely able to dodge what the creature threw at him. When the creature threw a sticky web-like substance against him it didn't stop with just one. But it threw dozens of it at him, making him dizzy as he tries to avoid everything while he's in midair.
As he's getting tired of avoiding the webs, he begins a counter attack of his own. Using his wits, the young man opens the palm of his hands and tries to replicate how the creature spews out the web. Instead of it coming from his mouth, Andrew created thick thread like material from the tip of his fingers.
He closed his eyes momentarily, opening it to unleash the threads he had been creating on the palm of his hands. This time, he'll give it all. With a blood curdling scream, Andrew pushed forward and went close enough to the creature, just enough to trap and not let it escape.
"Now, you burn!" He hissed at the creature and let all the fire within him flow from his body to the thread tying up the creature. The creature cried and let out an eerie sound that made him grit his teeth.
As the creature continues to evaporate in front of his eyes, Andrew misses to see a dark humongous shadow coming from the far side of the forest. It was approaching slowly, almost as if it was waiting --- preparing for the right moment to attack. The young man was still flying in midair as the thick smoke from the burning tar compromises his line of sight. The shadow became bigger and bigger and soon a creature unlike any other appeared.
Only when Andrew noticed how the small rocks on the forest bounced and rolled on the ground did he look up. The leaves of the trees swayed. Coconut fruits fell and made a sound against the ground, and the familiar flocks of birds were flying straight as if the hundreds of birds were trying to get away from the dangerous scene.
The tar creature in front of him is in the end point and is close to dying out completely. But then a creature appeared, letting out a gurgling sound similar to the sound of a thunder.
It was monstrous, almost twenty four feet in height and its length was unimaginable. Its body differs from the creatures that were created by the Undying man. It's body was formed by layers and layers of rocks. Debris was still falling from its hard body all over, dirt continuously fell. The hooves on its feet were made from thick metal. And the big horns on its head were made from trees of the forest. And from afar it looks like a massive twist and turns of trees and vines alike.
It was a bull. A bull made of rocks, trees and metal. And its eyes were a mixture of black and green. The beast raised its head and smoke from its nose appeared. Slowly as it lowered its head, the beautiful mixture of green and black on its eyes disappeared.
It laid its eyes on the creature that Andrew was about to kill, and stepped on it with such power and anger that it blew Andrew away. It was so powerful that the thread made of fire snapped.
When the bull retracted its mighty feet the creature was no more, as it was endlessly stomped on the ground. Only seeps and drops of tar fell from the metal hooves.
When Andrew was able to balance himself he stared at the magnificent creature. It was the Taurus, and he was still in utter disbelief, as if he was dreaming. The bull looked at him and its eyes shone. But what made Andrew's breath hitch and his chest tightened was when the bull looked at the direction of the fortress.
The bull turned until it was aligned to the Fortress' direction. And then the hoof of the bull clawed the ground and its head lowered as if it was ready to attack.
Andrew gulped hard and was debating on himself, not knowing what to do. The bull continuously dug its right hoof, smoke was coming out of its nose. And then it leaned back before running at full speed towards the fortress with its mighty horns ready to pierce through the barrier.
Andrew flinched when he heard a familiar voice --- almost screaming in his ears. "Stop the beast." Leo warned him, almost screaming. "That beast does not have the consciousness of the Taurus. It only intends to kill!"
After hearing those words, the young man immediately spreads into action. Not knowing what the hell is going on.
