28-Confession
- Leyton’s POV - I came home after finishing some errands in the city for the preparation of the Initiation ceremony and saw Kayla’s note that she was out with Jake. Her simple note gave me a peace of mind, knowing that she keeps me updated on her plans so that I don’t have to worry. That thought made me shake my head in disbelief as I felt more and more like an overprotective father. But who could blame me? After ten long years, things are finally falling into place and we’ve overcome our personal demons to rekindle our relationship. I’m grateful to have my sister back and I will not allow anyone to hurt her again. Grabbing a beer, I went to the living room to watch some TV while waiting for Kayla to come home from her date.
