Mate

"MATE" the word keeps getting louder in my mind. "Could my mate be here?" He's the only one I've seen besides Zachary but the smell isn't as strong, "maybe my mate is in another room?" "Did he capture my mate as well?" Questions one right after the other keep flooding my mind.

"Well I wonder what we shall do with your friend here." He states as he walks around me

P.O.V Zachary

We all start getting up and run as we hear her obviously pissed off at us since we do this every year. I laugh and run, she first takes down the last three that were on her, then she waisted no time dispatching the rest of the trainees. I see a way to escape her thrashing into the forest and I run.

After what seems like seconds I hear sticks breaking, as I turn to see if it was her I feel a sharp pain in my neck, my wolf howls as if he was shot full of silver and then quiet, everything had faded to black.

I woke up with a splitting headache and tried to adjust my sight to this darkened room, there is a window and it looks as if the moon is out and almost full. " I need to contact the others, I need to get out of this place." I whisper.

Suddenly the door opens and Amanda is thrown in the room unconscious, this man reaches her, picks up my friend and ties her to the other chair with silver chains.

He laughs " you are very mistaken if you think you will leave here so soon, tomorrow is my passing of the torch, when the full moon rises the power of our bloodline will flow through my son and then you'll see power like you never have seen before." This rather large man turns and walks out. I pass out as my vision fades to black once more.

Reggie P.O.V

"We've looked everywhere Danni, all the way past our borders, there's just no sign of them, and we can't even link with Zach."

Danni starts balling even more

"Goddess I hate seeing my Luna and sister in law cry like she is, the pain she is going through right now is unbearable."

Between sobs she is able to speak, barely coherent. " I'm.... telling....you.....you... better...find your .... alpha and....beta"

Frustratedly I respond " we are doing everything in our power to find them"

I look at the big clock on the wall in Zachary's office ~12:58~ "Luna we will find him, please go get some rest, it's after midnight."

Bethany comes in, and crosses her arms looking at me "don't give me that look babe, I'm trying everything, we aren't a big enough pack to have enemies, we only have a couple of buissinessess, and we aren't affiliated with any other pack... I don't know what to do."

I can feel the tears starting to flow down my face, Bethany comes over and wraps her arms around my waist in an embrace that quickly calms me, this is my mate, she can calm me in an instant. She looks up at me with a doe like stare.

It hits me like a mac truck and my heart stops...

"Maybe grabbing Zachary wasn't what it looked like, maybe they were after Amanda... Not Zachary!"

She looks at me knowingly, a frown slowly creeps across her face.

"I wish we were still in contact with her mother, but after her father's murder ..."

Bethany looks at me again and leaves the office.

Unknown P.O.V

three rings and a hang-up, that was what was said if there was ever a problem. Well there must really be a problem if she's calling me.
