Unknown P.O.V

After their escape I was enraged, I went to my room and pretty much destroyed it. I was one step closer to destroying them but somehow it slipped through my fingers, my son, a good for nothing simpothizer for these ungodly creatures.

He must have heard me, as the man is throwing tables, lanterns, and other things in the room, his son comes rushing in to see what has happened. I rush over and hit him in the stomach "YOU SEE THERIN, THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU HESITATE, YOU GET HURT, IF YOU WOULD HAVE HURRIED AND KILLED THEM YOU WOULD HAVE THEIR POWER RIGHT NOW!"

My son starts crawling away, "I ALWAYS KNEW YOU WERE A WEAK NOTHING, JUST LIKE YOUR BROTHER!" , "I AM NOTHING LIKE MY BROTHER, YOU KILLED HIM BECAUSE YOU WERE JELOUSE OF HIM" he hollars. "JELOUSE BECAUSE HE GOT THE WOLF GENE THAT WAS PASSED TO HIM AND NOT YOU FROM GRANDFATHER!" I kick him in his already broken ribs. Yes I was jelouse, my father could have easily given me my own wolf but he said I was unworthy, that I was to weak to be able to have a wolf. But I showed him that I wasn't weak, I captured him and that bitches father.

They begged for their lives, I showed my father that he was the weak one, not me. I go back and start grabbing different objects and throw them at Therin hitting him multiple times, yes he's weak, weakness is a poison, a poison I need to get out of him. He will be strong, he will be able to protect our people from those abominations of the world, we will hunt them until they are no more. I go and pick him up, he winces from his ribs being broken.

I take him back to his room and call for the medical team to fix him up, his beatings to make him stronger will continue tomorrow, he will be trained to not show pain, to withstand an attack and to show no weakness.

Therin P.O.V

He sent the medics to patch me up as I lay on my bed, who was that woman? I really haven't had a moment to rest between the beginning of the ceremony to that last beating. Broken ribs, sprained arm, bruises all over my face, I am holding on but barely, I need to escape, I need to find that woman. Something stirred inside of me when I saw her, I actually felt happiness, for the first time in my life, I was happy.

Zachary P.O.V

"If you would follow me Lori Ann, I would like to speak with you in private." Everyone starts complaining, I glare at them and they stop. I walk up to the second floor with her in tow, I get to my office opening the door, she walks in behind me and sighs, "it feels like it's been forever since I was in here." She says with a smile.

"If you would sit down" I ask with a stearn voice as I lock the door. A bewildered look on her face she complies, "now as I don't know who you really are, I am going to ask you some questions" she nods and I sit behind my desk " if you lie to me I will know, you say you were close with my father, how so? She wrings her hands "I was a friend" she says with a weakness. I sigh, "what else?" She could feel the agitation in my voice, "I was also the mate of his beta." "So that means you're...?" A shock to say the least, " yes" she replies.

Confused I asked " are you going to tell her?" She shakes her head with tears streaming down her face. "I can't, not right now at least." With a broken voice "and you can't tell her, she has to bring peace between your two factions, they will attack but not until after she finds her mate."

"Do you realize how heartbroken she was all these years thinking you died?" It is a good thing that my office is soundproof, I start screaming at her, my best friends heart was aching for a mother she thought was dead, come to find out she's alive. "Her father told her you died in childbirth, she's been thinking that your death was her fault!" My voice getting louder useing my alpha voice.

It's as if the alpha in me had no effect on her, "DON'T YOU THINK I WANTED TO COME BACK? COME SEE MY DAUGHTER, MY HOME, EVERYONE I HAVE EVER LOVED HAS BEEN HERE!" she screamed back, then I felt it, her alpha Aura going haywire "YOU MAY BE ALPHA OF THIS PLACE NOW, BUT MAKE NO MISTAKE, AN ALPHAS CHILD WILL ALWAYS HAVE OUR AURA, I MAY HAVE BEEN MATED WITH A BETA BUT I WILL ALWAYS CARRY MY FATHER'S BLOOD IN ME!"

" What are you saying? If you are also an one that has alpha blood, that means you're my aunt? I ask. She nodded my mate and your father were best friends, his best friend mated with his sister, how amazing is that, two wolves that already acted like brothers. Then I got pregnant but somehow my mate wasn't the father, I slept with him but the next day the old witch came down while I was in the kitchen, there was no explanation, he thought I cheated on him, but I never did, nor would I have.

"Miss Lisa did tell me one thing though that has stuck in my mind all these years.Her seventeenth year... Seventeen years and she will find him, on the brink of death she will become new, saved by the one she's intended for, nothing can break this." A look of shock came over my face, "that's part of a prophecy" I said as I grabbed a key out from under my shirt, unlocking the bottom draw of my desk. *Beep beep beep beep* I punch the code into a safe.

"My father had also told me of a prophecy that would happen after a beta met her mate." Russling through the stack of papers I find it and go to read it out loud when someone mind links me. Amanda shouting "we are being attacked!"
