  Axle's POV   "In my study," I say lightly.   I turned and walked up the stairs. I could hear her behind me breathing heavily but I didn't want to let it interfere with my decisions so I shut it out.   I lead Narda down the hall, my steps slower than usual, like my body already knows the weight of the conversation waiting for us. The study door creaks when I push it open, and she steps in without hesitation.   The usual scent of the ash-like humidifier mixed with faint cologne lingers in the air. This room has seen arguments, silence, long nights, and even that one kiss I still regret. But tonight feels heavier, as if every memory in these walls is watching.   My eyes land on Katty's photo on the desk, the frame tilted slightly toward the door like she's witnessing this moment too. H
