I turned and looked at Elise, as if in sync, she grabbed my hand and we hurried towards where the commotion was coming from. She took me to where I presume to be the King's office.
All the offices are soundproof, but since the door was wide open, Bradley's baritone was booming through the corridors.
Elise and I hid in the shadows, not getting too close, but close enough to hear what was happening.
" How could you mother, why can't I just have a moment of peace in this damn Palace?" I heard him rant at the top of his voice.
" Don't you dare raise your voice at my Queen." The king snarls.
" She's your Queen when it suits you." Bradley spat.
" Well . . . " The Queen mother tried to diffuse the situation.
