Natalie P.O.V I must have been sleeping lightly this morning, as for the first time, I felt Asher reluctantly leave my side for training in the gloomy dawn of a new day. He was careful to dress quietly as I lay there, and I tried to keep as calm as possible so that he knew I wasn’t awake. He left the room, and I listened to the proceeding tasks that he ticked off his morning routine before he left the house through the front door. I took a few moments to gaze at my engagement ring, which sat snugly on my finger. I had drifted off to sleep thinking about our wedding day. The colours, the smells, the people; the feelings.
