He had just about been able to cope with the Kesoth Avatar and the handmaidens, even Caros had not been too bad but now the field crawled with foul divine creatures which made the handmaidens look sweet and friendly. The massive white angels of Life that were in constant evidence were no more reassuring. For creatures that were supposed to be the embodiment of all Life’s goodness, they were certainly terrible and terrifying to behold particularly if they were coming for you with cold fury in their eyes.
