I was consumed by darkness but I didn't feel afraid. It felt as if someone was here with me, someone I couldn't see.
"Am I dead?" I questioned aloud, listening to my voice echo.
The darkness gave no answer, that I wasn't surprised about.
I spun around, hoping that something, anything at all, would appear, but nothing did.
I sighed, about to give up. My body froze when a warm hand lay on my shoulder.
I sucked in a breath and turned to see who it was, but could only see dark purple eyes staring back at me.
"My dear." I heard a soft melodic voice that sent tingles through my body. "It is time to wake up."
The voice left me with a nostalgic feeling and the desire to stay close to whoever it was.
