"Why sell us in Irkalla? Why can't they just sell us here? In Affaraon?"
Aruna stared at me with raised brows. "They'll fetch a higher price for us in Irkalla. I know why they captured me, I'm a Luna, but considering how I struggled to figure out what you were, I wonder what they think you are."
"This isn't my first time being sold because of my unusual looks," I muttered. "However, that time Nicholas bought me." I sighed.
He wouldn't be able to find me in Irkalla if he was even still alive.
"Nicholas?" Aruna questioned. "Your vampire friend?"
I pursed my lips before nodding my head. Our relationship was too complex for me to explain. Of course, I could correct her and tell her he was actually my master, but I didn't have the strength.
