Not In The Mood

1533 Words
Beast Boy had been on a run at seven in the morning the next day. As he was on his way back, he could feel something off with the tower but couldn't tell what until he got there.  Titans East had come to visit.  And like always they hadn't changed a bit. Their sassy leader Bumblebee was still sassy and mostly in Jump City to lip-lock with Cyborg in "secret". Aqualad was talking with Starfire and Raven was speaking in Spanish with the twins Más y Menos.  All while Robin, Star, and Speedy were all talking on the couch with smiles on their faces.  Nodding to them with hardly any interest in talking, Beast Boy went into the kitchen and grabbed a water. Only for it to be snatched for his hand and he looked to see Kid Flash, "Give it back d**k for brains." Everyone looked at Beast Boy shocked but Kid Flash just laughed as he zipped around Beast Boy, "Well now someone's not in a chipper mood."  Beast Boy gritted his teeth, "It's seven in the morning only you could be this energetic this early and I'm not in the mood. Give me my water bottle or I break your f*****g leg."  Robin looked over at Beast Boy's annoyed face, "Beast Boy enough." Beast Boy bit his tongue as Kid Flash looked at Beast Boy shocked to see him actually angry. The kid had been always up for a laugh, practical joke, or even a prank.  Watching Beast Boy stalk off, he ignored Jinx as she greeted him in the halls. "Who ticked him off?" she mumbled. Cyborg glared at Kid Flash, making the guy quickly held up his hands, "Come on Robo Man I was just playing with the kid I didn't think he'd get his panties all in a bunch."  Cyborg rolled his eyes stalking off.  Later everyone could hear music coming from the gym.  Whenever someone would come through and see what was going on, they'd find Beast Boy beating the crap out of the bag, hitting the practice dummy in some feral or life-ending way, or worse shifting into some vicious animal and practice his pouncing which was intimidating, to say the least.  When Beast Boy finally had enough for the day, he left out of the room and headed into the kitchen. Making himself lunch, Beast Boy was eating as he flipped through Tinder when someone zipped around him, "Sup BB?" Beast Boy didn't even glance at Kid Flash as he dryly replied, "Life."  Robin glanced up from the tv as the other's looked back as well. Kid Flash still didn't seem to notice or care Beast Boy wasn't in the mood to play and instead took his phone and whistled seeing the hot babe he had swiped right on, "Nice choice my friend, although I am surprised. You do not look like a Tinder type guy."  Everyone gaped at that announcement and as they all exchanged looks, Raven focused on Beast Boy not sure how she felt hearing that.  BEAST BOY? on TINDER ?  Nothing about that sounded right.  Beast Boy growled lowly as he hissed, "Man would you hyper it down and give me my phone. Please?" Kid Flash hummed as he zipped back around Beast Boy further annoying him, "Chill B, I'm just teasin'." Beast Boy slammed his fist into the counter, "Well I'm in no mood for it!" Everyone had shot up now as Kid Flash still seemed amused by the whole ordeal as his girlfriend began to worry as Beast Boy's eyes narrowed.  "Sounds like a heavy heart to me. You know meaningless s*x and outbursts of anger can be troubling signs." Kid Flash sang, zipping back around Beast Boy in a circle before he taunted, "Want to talk about it?" Beast Boy suddenly had Kid Flash by the throat and put him on the ground. Hard. "Not. In. The. Mood." He growled out making Kid Flash's eyes widened in fear.  When he couldn't speed his way out of Beast Boy's tight grip he started to panic until Beast Boy let him go and stormed off shaking.  After getting checked up on, Kid Flash asked seriously, "Okay who body-snatched Beast Boy?" Raven used her power to raise her hood and watched Robin sigh guilty. He started to lie, but his girlfriend worried too much to do so. "I fear our friend is lost to us! He never wishes to be himself now!" Starfire said somberly.  Cyborg scoffed not seeing the big deal, "Well after Boy Wonder here laid into him, he changed. He grew up and now's not a kid. He's a grown man with a grown man's attitude. What do you expect?"  Bumble Bee frowned unsurely, "But for him to do a whole one, eighty like that? I didn't even recognize him." Robin's jaw clenched and he looked up to see Raven with her hood up trying to hide how guilty she felt. She thought Beast Boy's issues were her fault. They weren't.  Dinner was an awkward affair. Jinx was glaring at Beast Boy who was eating his steak not noticing, or caring about her look. Both Robin and Bumblebee were looking back and forth between the two as their respective partners tried to get them to converse. Jinx suddenly snapped, sending a baby wave of bad luck at Beast Boys fork making it snap in his hand. Huffing Beast Boy met the grey girl's pink eyes annoyed, "Yes?" Jinx made a noise of disgust, "Well it's obvious you need to apologize to Wally. What you did was completely uncalled for considering he was just being him, his normal-."  Beast Boy continued with a monotone, "Hyperactive, busy body self, whose powers prevent him from sitting still so instead he'd rather run around and bother people. I.E, me, but since I didn't feel like being bothered I don't care if you have an attitude I slammed your little boyfriend."  Kid Flash's eyes narrowed as he challenged Beast Boy, "I bet you won't do it again." Beast Boy actually laughed, a dark hollow sound that sent chills down the spines of his team, "I bet you wouldn't be able to run so good when I'm done with you."  Kid Flash flinched at the threat and everyone watched Beast Boy casually reach over and grab a fork from an empty place mat. When he reassumed eating, Bumblebee watched Jinx's pink eyes narrow in anger before nudging Robin.  Robin sighed before looking to Beast Boy, "Beast Boy apologize." Beast Boy took a pull of his beer, "No the f**k am I doing that for?" Robin glared at Beast Boy who glared right back, "Wait so if I say ten thousand times, "I don't want to be bothered," and yet he still bothers me I'm in the wrong for MAKING him leave me alone? f**k kind of s**t is this?"  Robin scowled even more, "LANGUAGE! Now apologize!" Beast Boy slammed his fork into the table but his whole hand made a hole as he boomed, "FINE I'm sorry! THERE! Happy!" Getting up he knocked his chair over before he stormed off leaving everyone shocked.  Beast Boy stalked off feeling the primal need to beat someone's ass.  Viciously.  When he got to the roof, Beast Boy was still angry. He was pissed because he had been made to apologize yet again but this time for simply requesting to be left alone. And when he didn't get what he wanted he made it happen for himself. It was bullshit. The whole situation.  Feeing the beast clawing to get out, clawing for the blood of his enemies, Beast Boy suddenly couldn't think as his heart seemed to pound in his ears. His blood pumping hot with blood lust and anger.  Beast Boy suddenly let out a loud roar that had ended up being a therapeutic release.  As Beast Boy's roar rang out over Jump City, the Titans and Titans East all looked up hearing his roar. Jinx shivered in fear holding on to Wally as everyone exchanged frightful looks. Aqualad looked at Robin and nervously asked, "He seems more...aggressive then when we last saw him. Are you sure he's okay Robin?"  Cyborg glared at the fish boy annoyed, "He's fine, but again he's a grown man. He asked to be left alone, Kid Flash over here decided to ignore him telling him to chill out. Now he's girlfriend has pissed him off with insisting he apologize for something her boyfriend started."  Jinx colored in the cheeks before hissing, "I didn't mean to upset him that much!" Kid Flash kissed her head before standing, "I'll go talk to him." Raven suddenly pushed Kid Flash down into his seat with a black raven claw of her powers keeping him there, "No. I will." She whispered before teleporting to the roof.   Seeing Beast Boy scowling as he looked over the sun setting Raven whispered, "You okay?" Beast Boy snorted, "You don't give a shit."  Raven frowned, "Yes I do." Beast Boy looked at her with a face that said he didn't believe her, "I'm fine." They lapped into silence, both wanting to say so much, but their mouths never moving.
