“…breaking news, another grisly murder has been committed on the streets of Los Angeles…"
I look up from my laptop screen and swing around in my chair to watch the news. I tend to keep it on in the background while I'm studying in case there is anything mentioned about the serial killer on the loose in the city. It's not because I'm scared or worried, it's because I'm curious about the case and want to stay updated.
“The victim was discovered in a park early this afternoon, but because of the state of their body, the police are unable to determine the gender. Reports say there were no witnesses to the crime at this time, so the police are urging anyone with information to come forward as soon as possible."
