Hallie's POV
It's Friday night and Abby and I are on our way to the baseball game. I haven't spoken to River much since two nights ago when I found out he's a vampire. I've run into him a couple of times out in the hallway, but I feel a little awkward around him now because I don't know how to act. I don't even know what to say to him.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around everything I've learned about him and his world. I did a little research on vampires, but the only information I could find was how novels and media depict them, as well as the paper the historian Professor Zen mentioned in class that was written a few decades ago.
