Hallie's POV
My eyes dart between River's arm, wondering how on earth it went from burning under the stream of sunlight to being completed healed in the span of a minute. Although it has felt longer with the deafening silence in the air between us.
“E-Explain what?" My heart is hammering in my chest and my mind has gone blank. I have what feels like a hundred questions running through my head like a steam roller, but I'm struggling to form sentences, let alone words, to help me understand what I just witnessed.
River lowers his arm to rest it on his lap. His eyes are locked with mine and I can clearly see the distress behind them the longer we sit here.
