Logan pushed the heavy door open and stepped into the entryway. The walls glowed faintly with conjured lanterns that mimicked electricity, the floors creaked like true wood, and the air smelled faintly of cedar smoke from a hearth that had never known fire. It was convincing—too convincing. Xavier let out a low whistle. “Oh my… it looks real.” Theodore followed, his eyes narrowing as he ran his hand along the banister of the staircase. The wood was smooth beneath his palm. “Real enough to fool the humans.” Samantha lingered in the doorway, her gaze darting across the rooms with a mixture of wonder and unease. “How… how did you build this so fast?” Logan turned, his expression unreadable. “We didn’t build it.
