Chapter 16

868 Words
Cameron sat in shock on his bed. His leg tingling from the best blow job he’d ever had and his mind numb from what played out after. “Cam!” Her shriek reaching his ears and sparking anger. He saw red, she was ruining everything. He fixed pants and forcefully pulled his shirt back on. His footsteps thundered through the apartment, he unbolted the lock and yanked the door open. “Go the f**k away!” He screamed at Courtney. “What the hell is your problem?” She glared. “Lack of s*x? I can fix that, you know.” She reached out to touch his chest. His hands curled around her wrist rather harshly and threw them off him. “Stop f*****g touching me. Get it through your stupid head, we’re not dating! I’m not f*****g you anymore! I don’t want to!” Her face crumbled and soon tears were falling from her eyes as well. His anger lowered, he had taken it too far. No matter how annoying she was, she didn’t deserve that. “Courtney..” He was at a loss for words. “I didn’t.. I..” “I’ll be back tomorrow at 10pm for Lilly.” She sniffled, her nose titling up as she collected herself. “Hopefully you’ll be in a better mood then.” She turned on her heel and disappeared down the hall. He was in disbelief, her opinion on what she thought they were hadn’t changed. He didn’t understand. Not only that but he had made two woman cry tonight. He slowly shut the apartment door, not bothering to lock it this time. He headed for Lilly’s door and tried opening it. It didn’t budge. “Lilly.” He set his forehead on the door. “I’m sorry. I never wanted to hurt you.” He waited and wait but heard nothing. He wasn’t sure if she was ignoring him or had fallen asleep. His head drooped. How could he have f****d up this bad? He made his way to his room, shed his clothing, and collapsed onto his bed. His chest felt tight, the pain crushing. He wished she was in his bed, laying naked and holding each other as they had the night before. There was nothing he wanted more than Lilly and he had f****d everything up. Not Courtney, him. He was the one who couldn’t wait, he was the one who kept inviting another woman to his bed, and he was the one who f****d her two days before Lilly arrived. The next morning Cameron woke up in confusion. He hadn’t realized he’d fallen asleep. The apartment was quiet, his phone reading 11am. There was no way Lilly was asleep at this time. He stood up and threw on a pair of basketball shorts. The door to her room open but there was no sign of her. He headed to the kitchen and found a note on the table, he picked it up knowing it was from Lilly. ‘Went to grab breakfast with Aaron, be back later.’ He crumbled the note in one fist. Of course she was with him. He slammed his fist down on the table, his eyes burning with tears he refused to shed. He threw the ball of paper into the trash and went to take a shower. While he washed his hair, he heard someone come into the apartment. He rushed himself, wanting to catch Lilly before they went to the club that night. Once dried and dressed he darted toward the living room but no one was there. He peered back down the hallway and saw her door shut. “Lilly?” He moved closer to her door, his hand knocking softly. “I know you’re in there. Please talk to me.” “I’m getting ready for tonight.” “That’s not for another.. 8 hours.” “I need a nap.” “Lilly, please.” “Not right now Cameron. Please. I need time.” Hands pressed flat to the door, he rested his head on the wood again. A heavy sigh and a deep breath before he could answer. “Okay.” 9:30pm took forever to come. Cameron had drank the remaining beers in the fridge which did nothing. Jaxon and Aaron sat near him, picking up on his bad mood but neither willing to ask. At 10pm sharp, Courtney walked in. “Finally, it’s not locked.” She wore a deep purple, strapless dress. Ruffles and folds adorn the front and the length stopped under her butt. Her hair was curled, make-up heavy, and glittery shoes adding to her average height. “Where’s Lilly?” Courtney was staring into a pocket mirror to reapply her lipstick. “Right here.” Everyone stared at her all at once, turning her cheeks red. Her black dress had a deep v that showcased the swell of her breasts. The material hugged her body and ended mid-thigh. Her black heels added two inches, making her legs look longer than they were. Her arms crossed nervously over her body and her dark brown hair, styled with a gentle wave, was pulled to one side. Her make-up was light but noticeable. Eyelashes thick and long, lips colored a vibrant pink, and a dusting of sparkly bronze on her eye lids, making her gorgeous eyes pop. “Wow!” Courtney’s jaw dropped. “You can say that again.” Jaxon almost visibly drooled. Aaron stayed quiet, his eyes raking up and down, soaking up her imagine. Cameron didn’t know how to feel. He was happy to finally see her, aroused by her outfit, jealous of the attention she got, and suddenly very nervous she’d never be his again.
