My body was getting weak so I led down there not attempting to make any move. Then I felt a strange sensation passing through my body. The icing floor seems to have pierced my skin all of a sudden. My furs which made me immune were no longer there. I was now human. The change was not like the first one. It happened within a few seconds. Finally I was going to be free as long as I would learn to turn at will. Little did I know that FATE had other plans for me.
There on the cold floor I was weak after all that had happened. Seeing I was naked I tried to cover what was left of my decency. I saw the cloth we were given mine was under a stone. How it got there I had no idea. Looking round to see the crowd staring at me my heart sank as one drowned in water. I decided to crawl to where it was, about seven steps from where I was. In a split second I was already there. This showed that my speed and agility was no longer what it used to be. It had improved significantly but now I had another problem. The rock on the cloth.
This was Ralph’s doing. Looking at me with his mischievous smile made me more desperate. I pulled the cloth but it didn't budge. Soon it tore with a little piece in my hand. This was Ralph's plan all along. I didn't move from where I was. drowning in shame I could only watch as people were talking and laughing with each other. Then I saw a figure in front of me holding a cloth. He covered me and turned to leave. I looked at the familiar figure in front of me and it was Ronnie. Looking at him as he walked away, I wondered what to do. When he turned back his eyes met mine. We were held in place against our wishes. I didn't know what was happening to me. Everybody was surprised, even the alpha Ronnie's father could not believe what he was seeing. I was flooded with memories that weren't mine. It overwhelmed me in such a way I felt the pain, happiness, grief and love all at once. I saw the worst and happiest part of his life. Looking at him I knew the same thing was happening to him.
We stayed there motionless for a few seconds and that was all it took. It was exhausting. I laid down paralyzed. I couldn't feel my heartbeat. Ronnie fell to the ground. Seemed he was pinned to the floor as I was. We both were breathing heavily. The crowd including the alpha, Davis was in alter disbelief. He was fuming with anger. The expression on their faces left me clueless. I wasn't even sure of what had happened. One of the Generals came and helped Ronnie to his feet. We both were brought before the alpha with our heads bowed to the floor. The mourning from the crowd seemed to have intensified. “What nonsense is this, " he shouted with an authoritative voice. It possessed such authority that it echoed round the mountain. In less than a second everywhere was brought to absolute silence. I was amazed to see the power he possessed. “They have been chosen by fate. She is his mate as long as this is concerned. You already know this, my lord”, he said bowing his head. I became restless on hearing this. This was not part of my plans. He became more agitated about the whole idea. “Not with nobody, it can never be. Cease her! he commanded. As soon as the order was given two men came fearlessly at me with great speed but as soon as they got closer, within a split second they were sent flying. I stood frozen at the spot to see who was in front of me. “No one lays a finger on her,” he said with an exasperated tone. His eyes glowing amber. I could feel the rage he felt overwhelming my own emotions.
They alpha and everyone there open their eyes in disbelief. “How dare you stand against my orders?,” he asked, looking at us with murderous intent. Ronnie didn't say a word. The aura coming from him was different. Whoever that will touch her we have to go through me. He was one of the largest wolves in the park. The alpha stood up in fury. The others were afraid of his reaction. He however didn't say a word but I felt him shouting at Ronnie through the mind link. We were now in sync which meant I could hear and feel what he felt. “To my chambers at once and for her make sure I don't see her unless I want to”, he said and left almost immediately. I look at them on the left. Ronnie looked at me but didn't say a word. I was then escorted back to the orphanage.
Walking through the lobby, I saw three people. Two were ladies while the other was a man. “Here she comes. The slot that thinks she can have what isn't hers. I ignored them and wanted to pass them when the other one from nowhere pinned me to the wall. “Where do you think you are going? “ she asked with murderous intent. It was obvious that they didn't come to play. Even if I wasn't to fight back I was no match for one of them at least not yet. “You think you can show up from nowhere and take what is mine,” she said as she slapped me across the face, sending me a few steps away from her. “I…I…I don't know what you are talking about,” I replied stammering. “Really! she said as if trying to prove a point. I immediately remembered the familiar face I saw in Ronnie's memories. They were lovers and were planning on being together. “Elsa, I didn't mean any of this,” I said, crawling on the floor. “Shut up,” she snapped angrily. I will kill right here and end your miserable life, you worthless slot. Before I could say a word she was already on me. She clinched to my neck tightly. I could feel my air gap tightening by the second. I was already too weak to fight back. “You butch you think you can take what is mine,” she said, still holding me to the floor but I was not going to watch myself being strangled to death.
Despite the fact I wasn't a match for her, I didn't want to die. She had awakened at the age of ten and by now had mastered all her abilities. I slapped her hard which gave me a chance to breathe. Then she held me again. This time her eyes were glowing amber. There was no doubt that she was about to change. The others did nothing but laugh. I felt my air pipe tightening. No matter how hard I fought, it was pointless. She was far more stronger than I was and has been in the business way longer. The more I struggled the more my lungs collapsed. I only fought back but my organs were crashing. “It's over. Let me end your suffering,” she told me.
