Chapter 40: Damien's Regret (Theodore's POV) I noticed Amelia frowning in thought, her brow furrowed as she processed my analysis of her ex-mate. I couldn't help but smile at her contemplative expression. "That's just my personal guess," I said lightly. "Regardless, you've already severed your mate bond. Now I'm your fiancé." Amelia's expression cleared, and she shook her head decisively. "You're right. There's no point in analyzing Damien's true motives for breaking our bond. He's just a jerk, plain and simple."
